I'm pretty sure they are all there in Pokemon Super Rumble Blast! All 5 generations!

But if you are thinking of the traditional RPG style, I think it would be boring... 150 is plenty, and I like what they did with the new Gen, and let you only see and catch new pokemon until you complete the main story... This keeps it feeling new and fresh, and stop you instantly making teams full of the old favourites!

No, I think 600 odd would be too many with the traditional game style... It would be in there interest to mix it up a little, and make it easier to find and catch certain ones.

There are only a couple of Pokemon I would actually like to get, those being Celebi and Deoxys. Not that I'd use them but because they are stupidly hard to get hold of, especially Celebi.

If you don't mind hacking and have a DSi, then there is a GTS DNS exploit that will allow you to get whatever you want. Most pokemon distributed this way are just clones of legit pokemon anyway.

"I caught all 151 Pokemon and all I got was this shitty diploma"

Not interested unless there was actually an incentive to catching all 100000 Pokemon.

This is a great idea, being able to get all 600+ pokemon in a single game, but let's take it a step further. Why doesn't pokemon just go MMORPG? Nintendo has gotten to a point where there are so many that they can't really make any more, and it would encourage a more metagame style play by going head to head. I mean at smogon they were like generation 5? no big deal. Ninetales has drought? THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!. They could just change one little thing and it would be a total shake up meaning a lot longer lifespan. So catching them all should be possible but what I'd really like to see is the tournament/league from the show emulated better by having it be a thing involving human players from all over the world.

I only caught all the Pokemon once anyway, and that was on Pokemon Yellow. :C

I think it would be great. But leveling would have to change. Level 100 would have no meaning after one beats a region.

In essence a way of leveling up that allowed evolution early, its odd but lets say we have a game like that, I pick Piplup. In the ordinary games, he evolves at level 14, with a game like this he should evolve at level....7.

BUT this is not for cheating, the pokemon should evolve slower.

IDK how they do it.

When the series motto is 'gotta catch 'em all' it's quite ridiculous that after over 15 years you still can't 'catch 'em all'. At least not legitimately. So yes, I think Game Freak should make a Pokemon game where you actually can get all of them.

Personally, I wouldn't like that. Mainly because I feel one of the series' main strengths and one of it's driving points is getting it's players to interact with each other, both within the game and without. By taking that away, yeah the games would still be fun, but they wouldn't have that social element that they're synonymous with, and would be worse off for it.

I understand why they have events: keep your fans engaged in the game and series by making them check online for updates, go to events to get stuff, etc. Its kind of like WoW's events. Yeah you can do most of them alone, but there is almost always that one (or more) event that makes you cooperate with others. The makers of Pokemon want you to interact with other people just like WoW does :p

That being said, I hate the events soooo much... I can't be bothered to keep up with the updates and go to the events of every Pokemon event. I just want a game where I can go catch every pokemon myself. Maybe if the online for every Nintendo system ever wasn't incredibad, I'd be inclined to meet the number of people required for certain things. Meeting 100 people on xbox takes about 5 minutes. Meeting 100 people on my DS, even my 3DS, takes a really bloody long time =/

I am still waiting for my Pokemon game titled "Pokemon" that has you go across every region, catch every pokemon, and fight every gym and elite 4... But could and should build no bridges =(

well you can catch them all legitimtly but the problem is finding someone with the pokemon you don't own, you'd have to go to the conventions and meet up with people willing to trade.

OT: I don't really like the idea. It sounds awesome of course but that would ruin the whole trading aspect of the game especially since there's a gts (global trade station) glitch that let's you evolve trade pokemon without having to actually wait for someone to trade with you

Well how do you get Celebi legitimately? It's pretty much impossible to get Celebi without cheats, especially in the US and Europe.

there was a gamestop (which you may or may not have in your area)where they gave away the zorua event celebi for heart gold and soul silver versions just before black and white came out.

Yeah that slogan is extremely antiquated.

The focus should really be more on "catch and raise your favorites!" but hey, I'm no marketing guy.

At any rate, I think they should include more pokemon per game in general, not sure about including ALL of them in a single installment. I do love having unique pokemon as a reward for being a veteran of the series. They DO need to find a better way to introduce event pokemon and a new way to get spiritomb, however.

There's no Gamestop in the UK so I don't think there ever was an event for us. And besides the last Celebi event was when Gold/Silver came out so that's almost ten years where you couldn't get it.

If you have all the games in generations 3-5, A Ds with a Gba slot, and enough patience. You can get MOST of them. They just need to change how the events happen so you can do it. But after you get all of them, before the next generation comes out, you just need to collect the new ones.

I don't think collecting all of them is really mandatory nowadays, The large number just adds more variety of characters to use in player vs player battles, where the real meat and potatoes is.

I think event Pokémon shouldn't be event exclusive. They should be unlockable through some other means. And I'd be totally fine with it if they made them more difficult to encourage visiting events.

Maybe they should employ a New Game+ sort of thing. Like how in Black and White, beating the main game opened up the floodgates for all the older Pokémon to come in, except beating NG+ would open up the game to Pokémon previously exclusive to the other version.

It'd be certainly helpful for people who don't have friends that still play Pokémon, like me, or people who really don't enjoy how the GTS works, also like me.

I hold the belief that Game Freak had this planned since the very beginning. After they finish making the final game, they'd wait a few years and, in a last grab for money, produce an even newer version where every single Pokemon is available. Maybe charge extra for it... who knows?

I say make some secret area you can go into and find tougher Pokemon. I remember gen 4 doing it for one Pokemon, but I don't remember much from the others.
