I'll be damned before I let you or Nintendo touch my Luxray.
I challenge you, to a game of Pokemon. I'll use my Alakazam, Charizard, Golem, Hitmonchan, Pikachu, and Polywhirl, and you use your new-gen Pokemon.

I will fucking awesomely destroy you.
I don't give two shits about battlefield ability. And I said Luxray. I didn't say I wanted my entire party new-gen. Although if I were you I'd make sure to account for Spiritomb.

I'd say they should just scrap the entire franchise, but that is a concept that is completly alien to the people at Nintendo.

I seriously do not understand why people hate the pokemon past the first gen. IMO some of the best pokemon came from Gen-2. Cyndaquil(and its evolutions) Chikorita, Sentret, Noctowl, Quagsire, Sneasel, Tyranitar, Houndour, Lanturn, Espeon, Umbreon, Ampharos, Yanma, Heracross, just to name a few(dozen) of the best pokemon in existance. You would condemn these wonderful beings to inexistence, and for what? All because of some bloody nostalgia.

TBH, I never really liked the first-gen games now that I look back. They were fun and all, but they always left me feeling.... unfulfilled. When Gen-2 came out, I was piss-your-pants excited. When I played it I was like...
'This feeling... this game has a story, one that's not just about a mute kid's adventures. The other characters around me are developed, this is amazing.'
I really like how you didn't HAVE to encounter any legendary Pokemon, they were just a neat little side-quest to beef up your ranks. Now in every game you have to 'save the world' from a legendary in order to even finish the bloody story.

I got another one. How about some normal animals/insects?
I never see any rats, yet Rattata is a Rat Pokemon.
Are we to believe that 95% of the meat diet in the world is nonexistent?

1. A plot. You basically are told to become a Pokemon Master because there's nothing better to do. There are frequent hints to a larger plot, but Nintendo refuses to commit to anything.
2. Real time combat. Almost every major RPG these days has been able to make the step to some semblance of real time combat. Why can't Pokemon?
3. 3D graphics. Seriously Nintendo, you've had 12 years to make a decent Pokemon game in 3d and haven't done it. What gives? I'd pay $50 for a Wii remake of Red or Blue.
4. Customizable trainer. The Pokemon trainer is already a personality free mime, why can't we at least have the privilege of picking out a less ridiculous outfit for them to wear early on?

I wanna see something completely story driven. Think Castlevania: Aria of sorrow, but instead of collecting souls to increase your power, it's pokemon. That way you drop the "GOTTA" catch them all, and replace it with "oh look at this cool pokemon you could catch and have help you" One of my favorite moments in pokemon was in silver where you team up with Lance and take down a Team Rocket stronghold. I wanna see a whole lot more of that kind of game play.

Some one also said that you should level your pokemon more based on how you used them. I like that idea. Pokemon should take a lesson from Elderscrolls and have pokemon that level up on how you use them. Also, I fucking want a way to re-equip forgotten moves. It's bullshit that you can only learn 4 moves, and if you delete one because you don't know how good the new one is, you are screwed out of the old one.

Some one also said that HMs need to go. I heartily agree. If you are going to be restricted to only 6 pokemon in your party, you shouldn't have to have 3 or 4 of them be there just for utilities. At least let all HMs be learnable by all pokemon. That way you can have one pokemon do most of your HM moves. That's what was so cool about dragonite. He could learn Cut, Strength, Fly, and Swim.

Heck, I was even thinking of sending it in as an idea. I saw my cousin playing a Pokemon game on his Gamecube like 7 years ago and got the idea. And it would be with only the original 151 Pokemon...plus Pichu, because they are so damn cute.
thats the thing tho. they could have innovated over the past 7 years with something properly realtime or 3D but they haven't they'd just repetitively beaten the same horse.

why would they go and put any hard work into making a new game when they can just copy and paste the last game and add a bunch of wacky new pokemon and it will sell. curse nintendo and their kiddy/granny fanbase, how dare they enjoy games I dispise.

it needs some fucking innovation. the franchise litterally hasn't changed its gameplay one bit since red/blue, even the graphics look virtually the same and its been a long time (3D my ass).

but I guess thats the nintendo way these days...
See, you say that, but you're wrong. The gameplay has changed, a lot. But you'd need to care for it to be worth going in to.
I played red/blue gold/silver ruby/saphire and then fire red... those all played EXACTLY the same. the new ones look EXACTLY the same...

1. A genocide against every race of Pokemon beyond 151.

2. Real-time combat.

3. A far darker storyline, possibly with the legendary Pokemon actually going out and destroying things, rather than sitting in a cave patiently waiting for a trainer to catch/kill them.

4. An MMO run by Nintendo with real-time combat and the ability to catch wild critters as Pokemon.
Yes to all 4 points especially the first one, I tolerated the pokemon introduced in Gold/silver and really liked a few of them but every game after that was just creating new pokemon for the sake of creating new ones.

Okay! Tyranitar, Infernape, Lucario, Floatzel, Garchomp, Luxray.

You lead with Ala who is psychic, Psychic does nothing to dark and because the elemental punches use physical instead of special Alakazam can't do any real damage. Only thing you can switch to is Hitmonchan who will more than likely fall to Tyranitar.

Charizard loses to Tyranitar, Floatzel, Garchomp and Luxray.

Golem loses to Infernape, Lucatio, Floatzel and Garchomp.

Hitmonchan loes to Garchomp at LEAST. the fact my entire party over powers it is another story.

Pikach- AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Ooohh sorry I thought that was a joke.

Poliwhirl? considering it's a second stage not even a Poliwrath or Politoed any of my party could beat it.

Of all the pokemon to pick from he first gen you chose 5 pathetic excuses to exist and alakazam.

No Gyarados? No Snorlax? dude... sucks.
All right my turn then.

Machamp, Lapras (with Thunderbolt), Rapidash, Exeggutor, Nidoking, and just because I can, Kangaskhan.

In order, Cross Chop, Surf (likely X2), Fire Blast, Thunderbolt(again X2), Ice Beam, Earthquake.

Lapras takes three, so barring a rare miss, that's game, set and match, and I don't even trot out two of my team.

On point though, I thinking Nintendo is freaking insane for not trotting out a Pokemon MMO. I mean they're trying to make it work with all their freaking Wireless hookups, and Union rooms, and its never going to work for two reasons.

1) The Friend Code method was, is, and always will be a really stupid method to try and hook up with people instead of getting a dedicated server because the only way you can get a Friend code, aside from posting it randomly on the internet, is in the Union Room.

2) Nobody goes into Union Rooms because there is never anyone there!

Seriously, I don't even like MMOs that much, and I would gladly signup for a 10 year subscription to a Pokemon MMO.

It needs actual online gameplay and PvP with people who are more than 5 feet away. It needs less of the goody-goody plotline; less "legendaries" that you will never possibly get your hands on without CHEATING; the ability to steal NPC's Pokemon (Hey, Team Rocket could do it, why not you?)...maybe even the ability to PLAY one of the badguys. You need to NOT have a friend/rival who's face you want to punch in; and there needs to be a more dynamic and deeper storyline that isn't so painfully predictable and lasts longer than the normal "become Pokemon master". Less useless contests; more sidequests; a difficulty curve; and no more Pikachu ripoffs. Also less fugly Pokemon like that retarded beaver and the skunk that makes farting noises.

Already said this in multiple threads like these, give Team Rocket guns! Make 'em totally badass villains instead of just plain bad villains.

I completey agree, i loved all the classics and now there are so many i cant remeber half of thier names! And they made them all modern and 'shiny' to appear to modern kids and it's just ruined them.

I don't agree actually. Some of them are really stupid...they need to not make SO many new ones...maybe stop making new ones... But I personally love ones like Ralts, Drifloon, Jirachi, Umbreon, and Togetic.

An actual storyline, not just get your first pokemon, get all of the badges and then become a pokemon master. Also actual battles would be good, just hitting tackle and seeing a 2-D model of what's supposed to be your pokemon wiggle around then hurt its attacker, shouldn't cut it anymore. I love pokemon (the hand held games) as much as the next person, but in this day and age those graphics should not be tolerated.
