1. A genocide against every race of Pokemon beyond 151.

2. Real-time combat.

3. A far darker storyline, possibly with the legendary Pokemon actually going out and destroying things, rather than sitting in a cave patiently waiting for a trainer to catch/kill them.

4. An MMO run by Nintendo with real-time combat and the ability to catch wild critters as Pokemon.
that would work...go to youtube and look up some competitive pokemon battles (not the ones on battle revolution...those suck but the ones on the DS) it may seem simple but their intense...theres a lot more to pokemon than catching a pikachu and defeating the E4

Pokemon lacks everything that it would need to be fun or interesting (in any format that it is presented in). The only Pokemon game that I would consider playing is a game in which the goal is to kill all of the Pokemon and all of the annoying characters from that bloody stupid cartoon (which I had the misfortune of watching a few times).

A lot of the things being suggested here would take away from the Pokemon experience. If we changed the battle system/move sets/stats/etc. it would be a completely different game. I don't think that the game would sell too well if they completely changed a WORKING formula.

No more special event pokemon like darkrai and arceus, let me capture them under other circumstances like having all the rest.

speed up the battles - the option to quickly get into battle in a second, no trainer throwing a ball animation; faster leveling up.

bring back lugia.

I'll be damned before I let you or Nintendo touch my Luxray.
Luxray is an amazing pokemon (': THANK YOU FOR BRINGING IT TO LIGHT. Not all the new gen pokemon are bad.

However, how about one where you can actually "catch 'em all"? Instead of laods of event pokemon you will never get your hands on, crazy items "which certain pokemon love" (needed to evolve) and come on, to get all the different forms of a certain pokemon in diamond/pearl you need to select a certain rock in a random town. I mean COME ON.

i reckon pokemon could benefit from multiple ending...

an 'evil' path... moral choices and stuff...
pokemon contests maybe... it would help sync it with the cartoon... at least a little bit...
you know, just something other than... collect 8 badges... meanwhile hinder bad guys and steal legendary poken... beat elite 4 and then a bit more afterwards...

pokemon games have always had very linear and predictable storylines...

apart from that... im very happy with the games right now...
i hope they make a pokemon stadium 3... those minigames were great and the library is pretty much what made me good at the game...

only the 1st 250 so pokemon, they got stupid after that, 3D, customized caracters, bigger worlds, and levels should progress as you do, like so when you go back to the 1st town pokemon shouldnt be lv2, they should get better as you do so they're still a challenge and not just irratating, real time combat not turn based, really this should be on the wii you could actually feel like your throwing the pokeball lol

oh and MOST OF ALL the ability to catch ALL the stupid pokemon on one stupid game without having to trade with another stupid game because for some reason some of them hav gone exticnt in that world and can only be found in the other game, just as some stupid way to make money so u hav to buy them both!

and finally some amazing online matchmaking so you can really compete with your pokemon :)

actually id like 2 saves per cartridge...
also... nothing since Gold/Silver has felt quite the same... the 2nd generation was great... the radio thing... i dunno... its never felt quite the same since...
i kinda put this down to boring towns... GSC were all pretty interesting... even the slight changes in kanto... everything since has just been some buildings...

also... RSE's secret bases MUST return... DPPts are horrid... and i used to use it to effectively save people... then i wouldnt feel so bad when i restarted... atm, i only have a few spaces left... mostly rock smash ones...

Let's work backwards.

4. Might work, but it'd take a LONG time to get organized.

3. YES!

2. Maybe.

1. You so much as think about laying a hand on my Torterra, and I'll rip your testacles out through your ass.

A game where you can hit ALL the regions, catch ALL the Pokémon, do ALL the extra challenges... That's what I want. Maybe a main-series game for the Wii, too.

A deviation from the Grass/Fire/Water starters; what about Fighting/Dark/Psychic?

I think the games are fine as they are they just need to be longer and not in the way that opening an island where all the trainers match your every party and kick your ass until you figure out some stupid move set and training regime that tournament players use. Like in the second game where after you beat all your gym leaders and the elite four you went to the region from the first game and fought them. Well why not have that in all the games!?

I agree with this guy on the real time thing. It would be awesome if you can move your character and when you get faced by someone or a pokemon it takes you to a different screen where you get to choose the pokemon and you can controll it, kinda like Customrobo style but with a way bigger stage to fight. That would make it totally awesome for me.

Also everytime there is a new pokemon game, to make sure you are allowed to go explore the past countries from the other games.
