Pokemon X&Y Vivillon Patterns

While waiting for Pokemon Bank to show itself, I decided I should pass the time by collecting all 18 Vivillon wing patterns.

For those of you unaware, Vivillon's wings change pattern and colour depending on where your 3DS's location is set to in the world. At present I have acquired 11 of the 18 patterns but I am running dry on options for the last 7 and Serebii is no longer being as helpful. So I thought, why not ask the Escapist for some help with my collection?

I have my native Garden pattern to offer.
Also have 3 Modern, a Sun, a Continental, 2 High Plains, 2 Elegant and 3 Marine pattern to swap for patterns I don't have.

Personally mine is Ocean, it's just so bright and colourful! Which is sad because I don't have one

Mine is Savannah, I also have a Elegant and a Polar that I Wonder Traded. My favorite so far is Polar.
I have one Savannah Vivillon avaiable, maybe two. (Put one on GTS, might not be there next I check.)

Mine are High Plains, so no help there or I would. Have you tried GTSing your missing patterns?

I got a few via GTS but the main problem is people asking for Legendaries for the rarer patterns

I think I get Meadow pattern, I'll be quite happy to quickly level a scatterbug for you and check.

EDIT: Ah sorry I only get Garden pattern, my mistake. Good luck collecting though, nice to see there's someone else trying to get all the patterns.

Ocean looks tough to get if it only comes from Hawaii. I'm surprised they didn't put New Jersey on the Garden list.

Sorry, I'm a Modern kind of guy. Can't help you out here. It's funny, you'd think that Florida would be either the Ocean or Sun patterns.

I'm Polar (Ontario, Canada) if anyone wants one. I think Polar is still my favourite pattern too, so yay.

I thought the Vivillion patterns were more like "America", "Europe", "Japan", etc, ie by strictly country. Boy I'm glad I'm wrong and the system is a little more complex than that. A really neat idea, and it helps the "global" atmosphere the game brings. Love it.

I really wish they made an area that let you catch other vivillion patterns.
Maybe it'll be in Z version like the Nature preserve of B&W 2. It would be called the Vivillion Sanctuary, a place were all kinds of Vivillion come to meet from all over the world! You get it after you beat the game and Viola shows you where it is allowing you to catch scatterbug,spewpa and rarely vivillion if you passed by someone from that region and a higher chance of finding that regions Vivillion if you have their friend code.

I really want a shiny monsoon Vivillion but that seems practically impossible.

Yeah I mentioned that actually.

For example: If I pass by someone from Hawaii, their Vivillion pattern would start popping up in the sanctuary but the vivillion itself would be rare and it only stays there for a week or so before dissappering but if I get a friend code from Hawaii then they would stay there permanently and be much easier to find.
It would probably work better if the sacntuary had split rooms to it that replicated the environment of the Vivillion pattern associated with it.

The Passerby function works randomly whenever you are connected to the internet so anyone that doesn't want to give out their friend code has a chance to catch a vivillion they want if they keep checking back every once in a while.
