So the question today is what pokemon have you trained that are often just left in the long grass, and sometimes with good reason!

I've never seen anyone else raise a Tropius the way I have. Which is surprising because it's a FRIGGIN DINOSAUR!

Kabutops is one bad MOFO. Seriously, you can't look at Kabutops without thinking "Holy Mother of All Things Awesome, that is one SERIOUSLY bad-ass dude!"
The only problem is that I have yet to come up with a good moveset for him. Eh, I'll figure it out eventually.

But in Pokemon Yellow my Pidgeot was always a good 20 levels above my other Poke's.

If I remember correctly it actually has the highest defense of any Poke'mon in all the games.

Not many people stick by Beedrill, I did for one game. No regrets.

Same here. It fits my play-style well (high speed and high attack).

Oh, I once did the 'purple pokemon only' challenge. Rattata, Haunter, Arbok, Nidorino (I forget if I evolved it or not), Golbat and Shelder (also covers fly and surf ).

Also, Rattata is under appreciated, hyper fang is deadly.

hilarious to beat people at school (back when it was allowed) with a ridiculously bad-ass catterpie

I had a Swoobat on my initial run through Black. Never expected to like anything so weak, but he was one of my favourite Pokemon.

Until the enemy Pokemon all evolved and became way more powerful than him. After that I left him in the box, where he has stayed to this day...

come on! everyone knows they're both awesome! i had a lanturn on crystal once, i only caught it for surf but i ended up training it and it took a hyper beam from lance's charizard and won me the league!

He's an exploding pine cone, and the only Pokemon that can use self-destruct without killing himself.

I does, and it can learn a move that swaps its attack and defense stat. I never had the patience to train it, but if you stick with it they thing can be a tank with a steamroller duct taped to the front.

errrrr, in the old blue version i had a magneton. he was pretty good, i got him to lvl 99 (legit), and could beat the pokemon league with just him.

sonic boom = win.

I remember demolishing with an Abomasnow, haven't really seen people hyping him up but he rocks. I also kicked ass with Swanna (not sure if people use him a lot) and a Vanilluxe (who people seem to hate, but I love... such a solid Ice type)
