So...Pokemon now, huh? Why? I guess 'crazy' doesn't need a reason, but still...

Bronies next then? Do I need to start watching my back because of T-Shirts and a hoodie that I wear? This is insane. People are insane. And if this had gone differently, there would be people out there shouting that "Everyone in that convention should have been armed, and then it wouldn't have happened!" This entire world is insane.
Well there was that report of someone releasing some toxic chemical gas in one of the hotels in some furry convention (still had Bronies related stuff I think).

OT-Ok seriously there were going to have a shoot out over for Pokemon? Non real and digital creatures? What are they? Some religon fanatics???

Looks like Team Rocket are getting out of hand this time.

Good on the police for stopping things before it got worse.

I don't think it's over pokemon, not really. That makes as much sense over committing murder because your caffe latte didn't have enough milk in it.

The cause is unknown, but I'm wagering it's mental sickness and bitterness that's been building up over years. The pokemon convention was probably just the target they decided on due to some random grievance. Could just as easily have been a mall or supermarket.

You guys (Americans) really need to sort out your mental health situation. I know a lot of you (for some impossible to fathom reason) don't like the idea of socialised health care that's free at the point of use, but in the case of mental health, it's incredibly important. A lot of people with mental health issues (and especially those that have issues that make them a danger to others) don't think there's anything wrong with them, and aren't going to pay for help they don't think they need. If it's free (at the point of use) it's much easier for friends and family to convince them to go. Maybe then you might not have so many massacres/attempted massacres.

I don't see anything that outlandish about people wanting to shoot up a Pokemon Championship, given that several people have thought it was a good idea to shoot up cinemas (chick flicks seem to be disproportionately targeted, but I've not really been counting).

But, yeah, might want to start doing something about the issue at some point.

This time? That's old hat for 'em.

Anywho, I wonder what the context of that mess is. Disgruntled players? Anti-Pokemon fanatics? They've probably got some mental issues, but I'm curious what their reasons were. Whatever the case, at least no one got hurt.

Obviously everyone should be allowed to be packing heat anywhere, it is the only way to ensure safety! Then maybe introduce armed civilian vehicles, if it doesn't work out as planned.

Power armor for everyone! Vote me for 2016 folks.
