It's on the same list as come of the worst thing a person can do. No way near the top but it's sick and cruel and in the same league as murder or rape. At least in my opinion.

But could you say that murder of rape require a person to have their life destroyed either? To which most people would reply "it depends." Which it defiantly does, but I think the main reason why people are out for her head is because of the way she treated it. She was enjoying it. And people like this are only 1 step away from becoming murders anyway.
