people who blame crap on video games are idiots. like the people who say that fighting games increases violenceNO IT DOES NOT. if anything it decreases violence because people have a place to blow peoples heads off, and if they dont, then they will be blowing peoples heads off in real life. as for this, the fact that these people knew eachother in wow has nothing to do with anything. you dont see people running around blameing ppl for murders when there freinds on facebook? do you? NO YOU DONT NOW SHUT UP

I was about to suggest we ask our dads and grand dads how they got this shit off their D&D playing and rock&roll listening backs. Unfortunately, I think the answer we'll get is precisely: "by blaming the shit on video games"

We'll have to quickly figure out what the next scapegoat ought to be and pass it onto them. I suggest social networks, or maybe cellphones, both used by many murderers throughout the world.

I don't foresee any major backlash. I mean, despite all the fun little "research" that's been done, Jack Thompson and whomever else is still out there lobbying against the videogame industry has never been able to tack anything to it firmly. Now, we can all debate the reasons for that, but the fact of the matter is, they can scapegoat us all they want now, but the gaming industry is profitable, and in this sadly paradoxical case, it won't die over something as comparatively little as a murder.

That said, it is a terrible loss to have to lose someone over something as silly as World of Warcraft, so best of luck to the Swedish Police in catching the sicko who did this.
