Political Correctness ... a step too far?

Political Correctness is one of these extreme ideas that is just completely illogical to live with in a society, and is far over the top to be witheld forever. But then again, that depends on what it actually is they want to change. If it's something major like serious racism, then I could understand it being in place, but by the time it gets to the small details like nursery rhymes, then I don't really see the point.

It's a rather stupid way to do things in general. Everyone grows up with a false sense of entitlement thanks to schools like that, where they're all raised to believe they're the best at everything and can obtain anything with a little bit of hope. They're wholly unprepared for the real world, where someone is and always will be better than you at pretty much everything. Tough shit, deal with it - oh wait, you don't know how to, because being second best goes against everything you were ever taught.

You never went to school did you?

In school, someone is always better than you at everything. If not, then I'm pretty sure you'll get far in life.

I apologies if any one gets offended by this but I am tired of being tolerant of every other religions holiday that exists and not being able to enjoy CHRISTMAS.

Political correctness, whilst irritating, is blown massively out of proportion by the media. The stories of banning nursery rhymes, banning Christmas lights etc are just Urban Myths, or stories that have become extremely exaggerated.

Yeah, some people go way off the deep end with Political Correctness. A local high school is trying to change their name from Indians to something else. How is having a sports team named after a nationality offensive?

"Political correctness" is a phenomenon largely hyped by (lower c) conservatives and retards to make themselves feel like badasses who are the real ones that are fighting "the man" and deceive you into thinking that they're the only ones who have really got your back.
