Political Correctness is one of these extreme ideas that is just completely illogical to live with in a society, and is far over the top to be witheld forever. But then again, that depends on what it actually is they want to change. If it's something major like serious racism, then I could understand it being in place, but by the time it gets to the small details like nursery rhymes, then I don't really see the point.

It's a rather stupid way to do things in general. Everyone grows up with a false sense of entitlement thanks to schools like that, where they're all raised to believe they're the best at everything and can obtain anything with a little bit of hope. They're wholly unprepared for the real world, where someone is and always will be better than you at pretty much everything. Tough shit, deal with it - oh wait, you don't know how to, because being second best goes against everything you were ever taught.

You never went to school did you?

In school, someone is always better than you at everything. If not, then I'm pretty sure you'll get far in life.
Reading comprehension isn't your forte, is it?

Excuse me for double posting,As long as we are talking about political correctness I would like to get this frustration off my chest.

I wanted to say this for a long time......ITS MERRY CHRISTMAS not Happy Holidays!
I apologies if any one gets offended by this but I am tired of being tolerant of every other religions holiday that exists and not being able to enjoy CHRISTMAS.

What the hell?

I'm just saying that not all people that went to school came out thinking they were Gods and they were able to do everything because in school there are so many people who are better.

Pretty sure he is referring to the idea if this type of thing were to be implemented.

We're not allowed to use the word 'brainstorm' now because it may offend people with learning disabilities. <--- This is where I lost all my faith for the future. It's right up there with councils spending £50K painting a bus station. http://www.bucksherald.co.uk/the-bh-blog/JR-How-much-more-money.5224356.jp

Anyone who uses the phrase 'It's political correctness gone mad' gets an automatic lynching from me.

Political correctness, whilst irritating, is blown massively out of proportion by the media. The stories of banning nursery rhymes, banning Christmas lights etc are just Urban Myths, or stories that have become extremely exaggerated.

Holy Crap, it's like Fred, except funny.

Yeah, some people go way off the deep end with Political Correctness. A local high school is trying to change their name from Indians to something else. How is having a sports team named after a nationality offensive?

"Political correctness" is a phenomenon largely hyped by (lower c) conservatives and retards to make themselves feel like badasses who are the real ones that are fighting "the man" and deceive you into thinking that they're the only ones who have really got your back.

Same for the War on Christmas. It's bullshit.

And I'm sure you're a member of this nationality, so you can speak about how it must feel?
Okay, if someone named a sports team the Caucasians, I wouldn't give the smallest iota of crap about it. So I can't see why anyone else would unless the picture/mascot was something like this.

I have never understood political correctness. People need to grow a pair and deal with the fact that different people believe different things.
