What do you think the funniest piece of political correctness is. You know, when the media are going over the top trying not to offend anybody. It often comes off as very funny. So what's your favourite piece of political correctness? Mine is probably the rewriting the classic nursery rhyme to make it Baa Baa Coloured/Rainbow Sheep. Because black is offensive now.

lol, they rewrote that song? that is hilarious!

I was recently corrected for saying "Third World"... Wasn't extremely funny or anything, i was just surprised at how now it is politically incorrect to say Third World, yet a couple of years ago every politician on the planet was saying it an alarming amount.

Go listen to George Carlin for awhile. He's got a few good ones. I think some asshats are calling seatbelts "personal restraint systems" now.

When did these things happen? Never heard of them, can we have some links please?

so many times you hear these stories and they're just made up by a bored press or some rumour that's been passed around. Daily Mail links are not acceptable, they spew out non-factual garbage about the EU constantly to push their own racist agenda.

How are seatbelts even remotely connected to any kind of racism or the like???

I happen to think it's hilarious that they correct "black coffee" but not "white chocolate". Is it only racism if it is towards black people? That itself is more racist than saying "black coffee".
I also got corrected for drawing a black person. Drawing an OC (original character) that was black... I don't understand that AT ALL. If none of my OCs were black, you'd also call me racist. What are these people thinking when they say these things?!

Edit: Also, someone mentioned "Third World"? Yeah, didn't you get the memo? You have to say "LEDC" now... Honestly, though, it is getting ridiculous. Who gets offended by this stuff?

Edit Two: Also, you can't say "bulletpoint" anymore because it is 'too violent'. You just have to say "point". -_- Oh yeah and "brainstorm" is now "mindmap".

Some schools in Britain (like my old one) made the staff refer to blackboards as chalkboards. I don't know how widespread the policy was though, so it might just have been an overly cautious headteacher/council.

I think African American is pretty stupid. Its just some bullshit term that Jesse Jackson made up. Not to mention their trying to identify their race by their nationality.

I'm calling bullshit on pretty much every post in this thread.

1. No credible link to prove.
2. Mysterious 'they' instigating changes.
3. This stuffs just to ludicrous.

Please though, prove me wrong.

I found it all very offensive. They used "she" far to often. Trying to opress the child into gender rolls or something? From now on we shall be refered to as person or "it".
