Lately, I appreciated games more and more if they just drop the stereotypical "good or bad" classification and just treat all involved as "human"; the one more flawed than the other. It's a completely different kind of game, but I challenge any of you to grasp the basics of Crusader Kings II and pass through an entire playthrough without murdering any children, cheating on your spouse or plotting against your liege. The game would deserve credit just for bringing out the worst in all of us.

edit: IF you'd look for a real game of political intrigue, look for some playlist of someone playing the game.

oh yeah that thing makes game of thrones look like a sitcom, if it was crusader kings 2 joffery would of been murdered by his father assuming joffery didnt get to him first

its a good example how someone can have the best intentions but end up being a complete bastard in their actions

There's a Game of Thrones mod for the game if you're interested. Never tried it myself as I'm not a fan myself, but if that's what people are looking for...

You should definately check out Crusader Kings 2. It's like Game of thrones levels of backstabbery before each days breakfast.

My favorite episode: My liege lord was away crusadingm and my character started an affair with his wife. Unfortunately for me, this resulted in an illegitimate daughter. I could already smell the choping block, but to my luck, when my lord came back from the crusade he believed this girl to be his! Got away with it, I thought. But then came the hilarious backfire: 14 years later, my lord orders me to marry "his daughter". Well shit.

Nine generations later: I'm still trying to get rid of the "three thumb problem" in my blood line.
