YOUR SCORE

System: Conservatism... yep
Ideology: Capital Republicanism... i guess so...
Party: Republican Party... i'm an indepenednt with conservative values
Presidents: George H. Bush... WTF i wanted Abe
04' Election: George W. Bush... well he was the only conservative candadite
08' Election: John McCain... meh, i was for Romeney
If you were referring to Abe Lincoln for your presidents section, I just want to clarify back then the Republican party was liberal, not conservative. The switch between the two parties started to occur during and after FDR's presidency.
Finally someone pointed that out
Pointed what out? That the early Republicans were liberal, not conservative? Yeah, many people don't know that for some reason. A lot of people also don't know that the current "Grand Old Party" is much younger than the Democratic party, so I always thought that nickname for the Republicans is rather foolish.
Even after all of that I still don't fully understand both parties

Good Quiz. I have never registered to vote nor will I EVER.
I do not believe in the government and try to ignore it.
I know it's almost impossible to ignore it but I try with all my might.
I am grateful for our cops and thats about it.
Done.

1. System: Conservatism, Liberalism <----- I'm as confused as this is.
The definition of Liberalism is all fucked up in the U.S. If referring to a Liberal SYSTEM, it's basically a Laissez Faire style government, with few controls on anyone's LIBERTIES (hence, LIBERALism). It does not refer to Hollywood "Liberals", or the "Liberal Media".

Ohhh, you Americans and screwing up political definitions.
It might be easier if we accepted that the true opposite of traditional liberalism is traditional Republicanism, but then modern Republicans claim to be traditional liberals, and the whole system gets buggered. For Americans, we view liberalism as progressivism. So, trying to get more people more rights, or protect more people from government interference... Except when progressivism is banning alcohol and cigarettes. Then liberalism is about legalizing marijuana, and conservativism is about protecting the sale of cigarettes... Now my head hurts.

1. System: Socialism <-- I'm actually a democrat. Although I don't really have that much of a problem with socialism.
2. Ideology: Social Democratism <-- I can dig it.
3. Party: No match. <-- I'm a democrat
4. Presidents: Jimmy Carter <-- wow. That's all I get?
5. 04' Election: David Cobb <-- Meh. I don't really vote 3rd party. Not because I don't agree with them, but because I know they'll never win.
6. 08' Election: Dennis Kucinich <-- Barack Obama, actually. I worked for his campaign

I can dig it.

2. Ideology: Conservative NeoLiberalism
3. Party: Republican Party

5. 04' Election: George W. Bush
6. 08' Election: Ron Paul

Not the most accurate test but I guess its interesting. Admitedly since I have to go to classes soon I didnt think about some of the questions as hard as I probably should have.

1. I consider myself a Conservative

2. Ditto and what the hell is "NeoLiberalism?"

3. I do usually vote Republican but im not too happy with their direction right now...still the Democratic party has yet to provide an acceptable alternative. Seriously what happened to the good Democrats...you know the ones that actually believed in what America stood for. Damn Commies. (^_^)

4. Ronald Reagan WAS and IS one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had, yes he did make some mistakes (Iran-contra) but his leadership caused the Cold War to end sooner than it probably would had he not been elected, he is a man whose example should be emulated.

5. Yes I supported Bush in both elections, he isnt my favorite President by any means but I will defend to the death that he did a better job than either Gore or Kerry could have, and I believe he history will be kinder to him (he still probably will rank in the lower half of Presidents but probably closer to the middle than he is now).

6. Ron Paul? ROFL. While the man does have some good ideas he is largely a joke. His belief in conspiracies theories make him a deal breaker, plus he was dead wrong about Iraq.
