"My mom is staying with us right now because my wife's out of town," Dean said.
That is the creepiest sentence I've ever read.
His mum is staying with him right now because his wife is out of town... and I watch them.

Your move.
I'm a block away from your window, watching what you do while watching them...and taking pictures of it.

K go.

And yet another win for the epic superhero in the guise of an author.

I've always known. Which is why I no longer wear pants. And started braiding my chest hair... into the hair below that.
meaning my stomach hair, of course.

"Reports that the politician has been sent to bed without any dinner have not been confirmed."

Couldn't help but laugh at that, well done.

Not sure why the article didn't include the MPR link.

For anyone interested:

That's just freaking hilarious.

Coincidentally, the conversation between @evilstonermonkey and @Manicotti above, and watching the video of Gaiman learning what copyright is for books is why I love the internet.

It may not really be true that Dean's mom got him to apologize. But it's a glimmer of hope that some politicians are not spawns of the devil and actually have decent parents that tried to teach them right from wrong. Key word: tried.

That's awesome. I wonder, if we contacted Jack Thompson's mother, do you think she could get him to apologize?

This summs the awesomess of the thread. What happened with his books is also what happened to music. Fact is most of the money comes from live concerts and because of that even paid albums are just promotional bundles now, pirated songs are just saving on production costs. We just have to wait for movies and games to find the right way to deal with it.

How very appropriate that a man accused of "schoolyard bullying" was told to apologize by his mother.

And yes, Neil Gaiman makes some excellent stuff. Still have Sandman comics to read.
Me too, I was able to get my hands on the first compilation, but I have yet to find the others. It kind of feels like the artist was taking the mickey by making Dream look just like Neil Gaiman, although I think it's fair to say that more work went into the character design than a cheap joke.

Are we sure this Dean guy is actually an adult, and not just two children in an overcoat?

Typical Republican. If the people that own you don't like something, do everything you can to trash it.

The mom part is just hilarious, though.

I, for one, would trust more a leader that listens to his mom. Most politicians don't listen to anyone.

Also, if I was Gaiman I wouldn't even dignify that with a response. Unless it was a deeply sarcastic response which explaned with overwrought metaphors how I was so deeply hurt. Which I guess is why I'm not Gaiman.

Neil Gaiman is a Scientologist. Beware any Scientologist who claims to have given money to a "charity." In all likely-hood, the money went to a Scientology front group.

His parents are Scientologist, that does not automatically make him one.
