Two thousand ten.
The British way to say things.
You forgot the 'and'. Without it is the American way.
Really? Nearly everyone I've heard in Britain doesn't say the 'and'.
Hmm.

Null ti.*

Or "Oh ten" in English. Get it? 010.

It's got more snap to it.

*[sub]Norwegian[/sub]
I say "to tusen og ti" I feel that's more right, before it was "null ni" but now it wouldn't be right in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure "twenty ten" is incorrect grammar (at least in America- I can't speak to other dialects around the world).

Two hundred years ago, people would have said "eighteen hundred and ten". As a shorthand, they eventually dropped the "hundred and" and just said "nineteen ten". So, really, saying "twenty ten" is like saying "twenty hundred and ten", but in English, "twenty hundred" is incorrect- when you have a round number like 2000, you're supposed to say "two thousand".

When we get to 2110, it will again become correct to say "twenty-one ten" as a short-hand for "twenty-one hundred and ten", but for this century, I suspect it's more accurate to say "two thousand ten".

All that aside- I for one will continue to prefer and use the much snappier "twenty ten" in my own conversations.
This IMO is the best explanation. I took the logic of what people would have called "1910" as "nineteen-ten" but since "2000" it would be more correct to say "two-thousand ad ten" however I'd much prefer "twenty-ten" for convenience.

It's spelt "Twenty-Ten" but pronounced "Throat-Wobbler-Mangrove".

If you say two thousand ten, then you MUST have been saying One thousand nine hundred ninety nine, in 1999.

Otherwise you are being terribly inconsistent.
If you name it twenty-ten, you MUST have named 2007 as twenty-oh-seven.

Did you? DID YOU?!

No, you said two-thousand and seven, like almost everyone on the planet who speaks English did.

I DID say twenty oh seven actually. It sounds better.

People have yet to realize that it is actually the year 17, because nothing existed before I was born, you only think there is because your mind is tricking you, the truth is you were all formed from the great glory that is me. Apart from my mother, who was formed the smallest fraction of a second there can possibly be before so as to give birth to me. GOD! Glad to get that off of my chest.
