Underdog? My understanding was that they were the favored city. Congratulations Brasil, 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics, the two biggest sporting events in the world in a three year span.

Wow, Rio got it! I live about two hours from Chicago so it would have been awesome to have the Games but, y'know, South America has never had them before, have they?

And London has them in 2012! You guys better put on a helluva show if you're gonna one-up the performance China put on!
