Just a short topic I was wondering how people felt.
What do you feel was or were your favorite type of games, based on the style of the graphics engine. 2D being like Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island. 2.5D being like Kirby & The Crystal Shards. 3D being games with full 3D model worlds, some sandbox games, I really can't give many examples off the top of my head.
And then Real 3D as seen lately, some companies are making games that use 3D glasses or are supposed to project an actual 3D image.
Then, explain WHY!
For myself I prefer the older simplistic 2D style games because I didn't find them complicated, simplistic and just fun, they didn't need any gimmicks. From there it splits 50/50 on 2.5D and 3D depending on which game we are talking about.
I have severe distaste for this concept of making actual 3D games.
And looking at it, it sort of matches the games I played as I was growing up.
