Why are there these arguments? Just look at the games and chose that way. Is not difficult.

That's what I keep thinking. What I or anyone else prefers is really beside the point. All the pros and cons of each console have been chewed over for years now. Just look at which games you like and get your console of choice.

XBox 360

cons:

It has a fat awkward controller that required AA batteries
XBox Live is a scam that costs monies
It's made by Microsoft
It's the console that mothers buy their sons to shut them up, hence 90% of players are screaming children
The console looks like a tacky toy
Your going to get the Red Ring of Death sometime, and I don't just mean your piles
Halo and its fanbase are a cancer on society's scrotum
It garbles your discs when nudged
Noisy as hell
Simply not as prestigious as a PS3

Do the math

1) No it doesn't, rechargeable battery packs ftw
2) Never used ps3 online services so can't REALLY comment, but as far as xbox is concerned you get what you pay for imo
3) So? Sony have their fair share of dodgy business practices
4) Not true in my experience
5) No it doesn't
6) 3+ years of using xbox 360, never seen rrod
7) Childish comment ignored
8) No it really doesnt, no moreso than any other optical drive
9) New models are SILENT
10) This doesn't even make sense.

If you're a pc gamer already, go for a PS3. A lot of the 360 exclusives end up going to pc anyway.

Oh and on the subject of RDR. The two versions really aren't that different. I've played and completed both, 360 and ps3 versions, and the only differences that the PS3 version had was the graphics were very slightly worse. Nothing that any normal player would notice, though. Besides there is cases where the PS3 has the superior console version as well, so I wouldn't base the choice off that.

Oh and the original 60gb chunky ps3 in europe has actually got backwards compat. Might be difficult finding one though. Personally I've got a ps3 slim along with a ps2 slim to go with it(I already had the ps2 slim).

I agree with most people here, get the PS3. If you already have a decent gaming PC, you're not missing out on as many awesome exclusives as you would if you just got a 360.
