Poll: 3D is there any need ??

I'm not that bothered. I don't dislike it as such, but it certainly doesn't attract me to a film. In fact, it usually has the opposite efect, because it signifies over-hyped eye-candy shit like Avatar, instead of an intelligent, worthwhile film.

3D is pointless; there's nothing at all wrong with 2D.

Oh, not to mention that ANYTHING that comes out in 3D is immediately hyped up to be pure amazing.

Avatar; to choose as the most obvious example, was claimed by many to be the greatest movie ever. I went to see it about a week after it had come out, and I came out of the cinema wondernig what movie every other person in the world had been shown.

I'm sure it could have been good, but the storyline was sacrificed too much for the 3D aspect.
