I was reading about the guy who make 2-D glasses to make 3D movies seem 2D. which is a good idea I think cause I like 3D but my wife hates it cause it makes her dizzy and she can't really see the 3D. So I was wondering, how does everyone else reading this post feel about 3D?

Do you enjoy the experience? Do you not really notice the 3D or does the whole 3D thing acutally adversly effect you health?

Also to make the poll balanced, does 3D movies IMPROVE your health? (Keener eyesight, seeing greater depth)

It's fine. I've only seen Avatar and Tron.

It didn't blow my mind or anything, I would find it incredibly inconvenient if I wore glasses though which is the case with my gf.

In the first 10 mins or so of the film, I notice it but afterwards I'm used to it, so it makes little difference. The only times that I do notice afterwards are when things that I want to look at in the background are too blurry because they aren't the main details of that scene (Like in Avatar I couldn't look at the screen whenever they were in the human base because the backgrounds were so blurry it gave me a headache).

The only film that had make good use of it was Avatar, after that I don't care for 3D. I really don't want to pay an extra £5 for the effect were the film itself had only made little use for it. Also it's the fact I already wearing glass (long sighted) so wearing a 3D glasses over my glasses just make me look silly.

Toy Story 3 and AVATAR had perfect use of 3-D. They didn't completely rely on pop out effects but it added a great sense of depth to bring out the picture that was very gorgeous. I don't mind paying extra for 3D as long it isn't constantly being thrown in your face like Resident Evil:Afterlife did. I swear those movies were getting better bit by bit then *BAM!* oh well. at least Silent Hill (one of the rare good adaptations) is getting a 3D follow up with 'SH: Revelations'.

While I was never to type who enjoyed 3D, i can honestly say it has its uses. Especially in documentaries and such other videos. But with the constent barrage of "everything" being made in 3D now, I have just gotton sick and tired of it.

For me it adds nothing at all, the glasses are irritating and I always end up watching a reflection of my left eye for 3/4 of the movie, only the really bright parts like blue sky or explosions make it disappear completely. Also, I sometimes get headaches as well. I watch movies for action and plot, 3D does nothing to enhance either one of those for me.

This 3D fad is annoying, especially since I already wear glasses. So I either need to wear another pair of glasses over my glasses (which is stupid and doesn't really work for me) or I can wear just the 3D glasses and get the effects... but then the whole movie is blurry. Either way it gives me a headache. I just hope it goes away

I quite like 3D. I've seen two films in 3D: Avatar and Up. Both were quite enhanced by the depth that the 3D brought.

I also really like the 3DS, though I haven't played it very much.

It has its time and place though. There's quite a lot of films that wouldn't be enhanced by 3D and I'm sure when 3D ceases to be a novelty, we'll see more films that are actually visually enhanced by 3D and less films that aren't (or its a fad and it'll go away entirely).

I wonder if they could ever remake old films in 3D? It'd be interesting to see the kind of shit they'd pump out. Driving Miss Daisy now in pupil popping 3D! You can almost reach out and grab at the sagging skin on her neck! Nutty Professor 3D: and you thought he was fat before!

As the great comedian Dara O'Braian once said "3-D they tried it in the 50s they tried it in the 80s there trying it 2010. It's like tuberculosis it flares up once a generation then you have to zap it with some anti-biotics and get on with your lives.

I think theyve nailed it, it works better than the whole blue and red glasses, but when I see a 3D movie about half an hour after it's finished I get a pounding headache and feel like I'm going to throw up.

It's hard to say "3-D is always good" or "3-D is always bad". I've seen my fair share of 3-D movies, and they can only really be judged on a case-by-case basis.

For example, Coraline is a great movie. However, in theaters, in 3-D, it is AMAZING. Seriously, as good as Avatar and How To Train Your Dragon were with 3-D, Coraline blew them out of the water. 3-D most definitely adds to the experience in that case, as without it, it just doesn't feel like the same movie.

On the other hand, there are also plenty of movies where the 3-D simply isn't needed. Toy Story 3 is a good example. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Toy Story 3, but the 3-D was so subtle in that film, it doesn't really help the movie. Oh, and whenever a studio converts a movie to 3-D after it's made, it never really helps the film.

So I'll say, yeah, 3-D certainly has it's merits, but only when it's used properly.

I've only seen 2 movies with it, Avatar and Tron. I would only recommend Avatar. Any other movie, no thank you (at least so far). Tron I think it was more I didn't like the movie that much than the 3D part. I do remember about halfway thru Tron forgetting it was in 3D and then something popped out at me.

The goggles, they do nothing. Literally, my left eye barely works, so anything involving depth and the perception thereof is impossible for me. Catching, 3D movies, connecting with punches, all is beyond me.

3D really doesn't bother me at all, if a film just so happens to be playing in 3D (i.e I've missed the regular showing) I'll see it. But I'll never go out of my way for 3D... not yet, anyway, until it's super amazing.

I HATE 3D movies.

For various reasons, I missed Avatar in the theater the first time, so I ended up going to see the 3D version.

It game me a headache, and everything was blurry with the glasses on. When I took them off, it was more blurry. Totally awful experience.

I think the whole 3D movement is awful and unpleasant. If I ever intended on going to a 3D movie again, I would totally buy those 2D glasses.
