I saw Avatar for the first time in the more 'high tech' version of 3D (the one with the black sunglasses instead of those god-awful red and green ones).
I'm assuming that, like HD, 3D is supposed to make you go "HOLY CRAP THIS LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE NORMAL KIND OF FILM!"
However, unlike HD, 10 minutes into the film I completely forgot that I was watching in 'oh so glorious 3D!'
So I can therefore conclude that 3D did absoloutley nothing to improve my enjoyment of Avatar (Not that I needed any help enjoying Avatar)
Yahtzee thinks that motion sensors on games consoles are a technological dead end. I believe that the same is true of 3D films.
Like in the process of evoloution; if it has no tangible benefit, it's not gonna stay around for long
