As I'm sure all of you are aware, tomorrow marks the release of both the Rock Band: The Beatles game and the remastered musical catalog what many people have said is the greatest band of all time. MTV, owner of the Rock Band franchise, has forked over an indisputably huge amount of cash to bring RB:B to life and a fortune in marketing. Apple Corps. Ltd. meanwhile has spent four years remastering the Beatles' albums to a high-quality stereo mix from the original mono-channel master tapes. In short, a great deal of time and money has been spent in preparation for tomorrow. My question for you, my dear Escapists is this...
Do you plan on buying the Rock Band: Beatles game? Will you splurge for the boxed set with all of the remastered albums and mini-documentaries? Will you just get a specific album or two? Or, are you one of those people who "doesn't get what the big deal is about the Beatles?" Seeing that MTV has been losing money on Rock Band [http://weblogs.variety.com/the_cut_scene/2009/02/rock-band-is-losing-money-for-mtv.html], this could prove to be a huge bust if the launch doesn't go well, considering how much they had to shell out to license the tracks. I've been saving up some cash, so I'll probably drop it on a boxed set if I can find one, otherwise I'll just pick up the individual albums.
