That's what I would have done, what I DO, and what I'm going to do every time I see a troll on this site. Point at the asshole, say "He's bein' an asshole", and let the mods take care of the asshole.

Also, I would have just reported the guy. A troll likes to bait people and when someone responds to them, insulting them, they know you have got under their skin. Its just for the best if you just report and move on.

Wow, is it my fault that you picked something I quoted from a guy; I copied & pasted his post WORD FOR WORD. I shouldn`t be blamed for writing that word (which I choose not to type myself and the only reason it`s not censored in the first place is becasue I copied & pasted his original post). In fact that`s a bit of a douche move that you picked that out, and for the record a cock is a rooster (it`s only a slang for penis, it`s not it`s technical term), and I used it in that sense; I used it as a rooster to avoid getting harped on by people similar to the likes of you. I never intentionally wrote c**t (uncensored).

Report and move on. This is the appropriate response to a troll. So, yeah, while your reaction was understandable, it was still wrong. You aren't accomplishing anything by feeding a troll.

Ummm, The rules are fairly clear about the notion of "report and move on." It's the mod's job to unleash the banhammer and you commenting just feeds the troll and extends the argument. It actually makes sense to not talk to trolls or tell them off. It feels good but ultimately doesn't help.
