Okay so I am able to get on my 360 about an hour a day and I would like a game with a good story that I can sink into. I realize there are similar threads out there but all the ones I found seemed out of date so I thought I'd start a new one.
Please don't mention Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3 and Oblivion I played and enjoyed thoroughly.
As stated in the poll, my main two are Sacred 2 and Dragon Age, but if you have another suggestion I would welcome it. My finances at the moment will only allow my to get one rpg (getting Battlefield Bad Company 2 and AVP so I need to save some dough for those releases)

I haven't played Sacred 2, but I tried Dragon Age and had allot of fun with it. Graphics are definitely not the best but I found the story to be engaging and interesting, as well as the overall fantasy setting to be one of the most engaging

IMO Both dragon age and sacred 2 were really bad on the 360 with their PC counterparts playing night and day better.

*Tip toes out onto tight-rope* May I suggest FF XIII for this? It looks like it's going to be at least a good game, if not a great game, in my opinion.

Lost Odyssey is supposed to be pretty okay. Haven't gotten around to playing it myself, but I've heard some good things from friends.

im currently playing lost odyssey...four freaking discs, and so far is pretty good, the only slight downside is there aren't too many random battles..so if you wanna grind you gotta wait longer then usual for a battle, but otherwise i love it, if you get into it, there are AWESOME stories imo, of your main character regaining his memories, im only 3/4 the way thru disc one, but i would recommend it alot, having played dragons age and sacred 2

i've played dragons age on both, and really there isn't that much of a difference, if someone really cares that much about a slight graphic upgrade, then by all means be that anal, otherwise the dragons age console game worked perfectly fine for me, while the pc copy had a few glitches at a friends house and froze his computer 3 times in his first play through

i like rpgs/jrpgs but i was intimidated by FF because i didnt know which game started a new story and which game was a sequel/prequel.

I've heard good things about Tales of Vesperia (that I believe, because I have good experience with the Tales series overall).

I really enjoyed Dragon Age on the 360, but it is miles better on the PC if you can swing it. The 360 version looks like a game from last generation, not joking. It's hideous.

Every FF game is a completely new one, apart from the FF VII spin offs.
Also, FF X-2 was a direct sequel to FF X.

I don't believe you played it. The PC version isn't only about graphics, the UI and usability increase was phonomenally different.

The ability to use an overhead camera angle, click on the ground to move my party and utilize hot keys are absolutely required. Even kotaku put out an article on how different they are:
http://kotaku.com/5397283/dragon-age-origins-+-playstation-3-versus-pc

For example, here's what my skill bar looks like:

The only one I could suggest would be Lost Odyssey as I only have a PS3 but my mate has played it and liked it a lot.

IV VI IX X XII... Yeah...
Sorry to butt in.

Anyway, Tales of Vesperia is good. Though if you have a PS3, you might wanna sit on your hands adn wait to see if that version comes out in the US firstt. Added content.

Hmm. I've only played VII to X-2 so I can't vouch for I VI. Out of the ones I've played, I'd say FF X. It has a good story, good twists in the story and was always entertaining, apart from when you have to grind but music helps with that.
