Every FF game is a completely new one, apart from the FF VII spin offs.
Also, FF X-2 was a direct sequel to FF X.
thank you for clearing that up =D which one do u suggest as the one with the best story?
Personally, I think VII has the best story, and is available to download for the PSP if you don't already have the PSX version.

However for sheer fun factor, X-2 is my #1, closely followed by VII.

Alright, I own both games and will give you my best insight.

Sacred 2 is more of a ARPG, I definitely did not care about the story and seems to push you to play to acquire more and more loot. I also need to add that the Xbox port is kinda funky with weired loading and such.

Dragon Age is more story driven- if you've played mass effect and enjoyed that type of dialog tree system, you will feel at home with DA:O. However, I also need to stress that if you've already played ME2, it may feel like a "step backwards" as the graphics feel last gen and your main character does not "talk"- silent protagonist.

I enjoyed DA:O far more than Sacred 2. You may want to consider Sacred 2 if you are a loot whore and have friends to play coop with.

Hope this helps.

Sacred 2 was pathetic for the 360. I was going to do a review for it, but I can't stand playing it for any length of time.

Oblivion. My favorite game of all time.
Dude did you even read my post?

Well looks like Dragon Age will be it then. I don't care about older graphics and I can get around bad control schemes if need be.

If you're going to get Dragon Age, get it on the PC. I haven't played it on the 360, but the features it is missing are crucial to the game and I don't really understand how they could just get rid of them.

im currently playing lost odyssey...four freaking discs, and so far is pretty good, the only slight downside is there aren't too many random battles..so if you wanna grind you gotta wait longer then usual for a battle, but otherwise i love it, if you get into it, there are AWESOME stories imo, of your main character regaining his memories, im only 3/4 the way thru disc one, but i would recommend it alot, having played dragons age and sacred 2

IMO Both dragon age and sacred 2 were really bad on the 360 with their PC counterparts playing night and day better.
i've played dragons age on both, and really there isn't that much of a difference, if someone really cares that much about a slight graphic upgrade, then by all means be that anal, otherwise the dragons age console game worked perfectly fine for me, while the pc copy had a few glitches at a friends house and froze his computer 3 times in his first play through
I don't believe you played it. The PC version isn't only about graphics, the UI and usability increase was phonomenally different.

The ability to use an overhead camera angle, click on the ground to move my party and utilize hot keys are absolutely required. Even kotaku put out an article on how different they are:
http://kotaku.com/5397283/dragon-age-origins-+-playstation-3-versus-pc

For example, here's what my skill bar looks like:

well sorry to dissapoint you, i have, and i understand what you are saying, but it doesn't take away from the game, it just makes the hotkeys and angles more convenient, in which unless you are that anal about it, and must need immediate hotkeys and the overhead angle with a different party movement, its still just as enjoyable on the 360, its not like its broken, it just is a bit different, and the game still delivers the same results, therefore in my book it is not bad nor a bad game, its only when you get little anal nitpicks at it that people call it "bad" because they dont have their mass amount of hotkeys to use, and believe me i know more then enough people who ***** about it so its not like this is my first time having this convo

Vote for Lost Odyssey for me too.

IMHO the best RPG on the platform (if you like turn-based RPGs that is)

There have been quite a few votes for Lost Odyssey, and you can chalk mine up as another one in its favour. Seriously, as long as you don't mind just a little bit of grind (grind in Lost Odyssey is minimal) then it's a fairly well paced and challenging game. Plus, the short stories in between are to die for. Yeah, I said it. They kick ass.
