Poll: A JRPG from the other side

Here's my thing, I don't really play jrpg's except for some of the FF series but from ZP and unskippable I've been really anoyed by them, the Last Remenant in particular. I just finished FF9 so I will defend them if they're attacked unfairly but here it is: You are a guy in charge of a huge army of demons/orcs/trolls/whatever, you go to an idilic village and go around crushing everything in your path and forgeing an empire until you eventually cross dimensions and kill stuff there.
this is kind of Overlord meets Spore game and to ballance it the penalty for faliure needs to be pretty harsh but it's just an idea, your thoughts?

It wouldn't really be an JRPG then would it? Hell, it wouldn't be a WRPG. It'd be...something like Spore or Overlord.

Or do you just mean a JRPG where you are the villain?

I dont think this type of game would go very well for a JRPG, they always try an sneak some depressing love scene/story into into it where the mass killer is lonly inside (some Chiché like this), I would rather down a bottle of chlorine.

having said that I'm cursing FF for giving me a smack habit where I have to buy every game they release.

You basically admit you know nothing about the games, yet you criticize them? It's perfectly fine if you don't like JRPGs, but at least give them a chance. In fact, you'd probably like quite a few of them considering you like final fantasy.

Must say it doesn't sound very interesting. I've never liked playing evil, you should always play the side that believes itself to be good. If it happens to be considered evil by others, then that's another thing.
