Don't. Fable 2 was a waste of money. And honestly I have slowly stopped playing my xbox.
But like the others said, if you have other reasons, those are better ones than Fable 2.

It's never a good idea to buy a console for just one game. I'm a Wipeout fan, but I'm not gonna buy a PS3 just so I can play that game, and I don't think it would be a good idea for you to get an Xbox 360 just so you can play Fable II. Now, if there were other games that you were seriously considering to get along with it, then it might be more worth your while. Otherwise, there's no sense in getting console for one game, and then just have it sit around collecting dust once you're bored with that one game.

Although, you did remind me: I really should go out and rent Fable 2. It does look like a lot of fun, but I'm not really much of an RPG fan, so I'd never buy it outright without trying it first(I've yet to get Fallout 3 for that very same reason).

I found Fable 2 to be very disappointing.

It lacked longevity, was fun for the first 10 hours or so though.

No. It isn't very pretty, too many bugs, and the menu system can be rather cumbersome. I just never got into it, and never really cared about anybody's fate.

Basically if you get an Xbox360 you have 3 games that purely make it worth it.

1) Mass Effect
2) The Orange Box
3) GTA4

There are plenty other awesome games, but those three are must haves.

Is Mass Effect really worth it?

It always looked pretty "meh" to me. Then again, I was never really into the whole "sci-fi Epic" thing, and the gameplay doesn't look like it's strong enough to make up for it. Might get it if I can find it super cheap, and there's nothing else available that I'd enjoy more, but otherwise I'll just stick to Lost Oddessey, Star Ocean 4, Penny Arcade Adventures, Fallout 3, and maybe Fable 2...you know, once I get all those.

Not flamin' it, just saying: it doesn't look that interesting to me.

Don't get a 360 just for Fable 2. If your gonna get a 360 then get good games instead.

Fable 2 is far from a console-selling instant classic. Stick with the PC for better RPGs that the 360 won't ever see (Mount&Blade, The Witcher) and for much better versions of multiplatform RPGs (Oblivion and Fallout 3 with mods, just for starters) thanks to the PC's nature.

I have always been a proud pc-only gamer through and through
RTSs and FPSs have resulted in the pwning of me and you
My favorite game, Fable: Lost Chapters kept me busy for hours
I cut down balverines, while the bandit cowers

But it seems I have been double crossed by lionhead
a company so good I have given sweat, tears, and bled
They will not release Fable 2 for my beloved PC
To which my eternal happiness, it is the key

So all in all is it worth the 360 of xbox?
does one game have the charm, grace and mox?
Is one game worth the 300 bones?
is it worth a several month eating only pine cones?

not worth buying a system for, but what game really is (hypothetical)? Its the xbox man, just wait for it to get ported to the PC.

I thought fable 2 was infact amazing.

I chose "yes" because I think the 360 has more to offer. If the question had been "Should I buy a 360 only for fable and never ever ever buy another game for the system" i'd say it's not worth it.

I souppose I'm trying to say "yes" seeing it be a gateway of sorts for you.
