The only perfect game is a game that is created by all the best minds in the gaming industry, people who make amazing games with 4 player co-op and stunning graphics, innovative gameplay and brilliant stories. If all the best and brightest got together and made a game then it would be perfect.

No, there wont be. I love Half-Life, Bioshock and Team Fortress 2 beyond sanity but they aren't perfect, only godly compromises.

I would like to ape this man's avatar and nominte Mother 3.

Or, atleast, the closest to perfect I will ever see.

Modern Warfare 2 minus Care Packages, Commando, and Shotguns would be the perfect game for me. Also, campers would be insta-killed if they sat motionless for more than 2 seconds. Yea, that's the ticket.

Well, I have games that I would call flawless (Like Super Metroid, Portal and (alomost) Chrono Trigger.) but that is just my opinion.

call me when a third person shooter with more then 200 people per level you have to kill and a solid story and a actual war game not shoot 5 enemies and move to next section but an actual war game. and it would be perfect

There are only two perfect things in this universe and neither are games; and that's Neil Gaiman, the greatest man to ever wield a pen, and American Gods, the greatest thing ever written with the pen belonging to the greatest man to ever wield the pen.

The closest to perfection in a video game for me would be Doom. I know people are going to laugh at me but Doom gets it right.

Was it hella fun? Check.

Did it revolutionize gaming? Check.

Did it look good when it first came out? Check.

Do people still play it online in massive droves and continue supporting the community 16 years later with new mods, engines, and online modes? Check.

Also, it WASN'T realistic. Screw Realism in shooters. I hate having to reload which always leaves me with my pants down for the next baddie around the corner. I hate fighting Nazis unless their deaths are over the top in a sci-fi setting (See Wolfenstein.) I don't want to solve some long mathematical puzzle just to get the action flowing. RUN AND GUN BABY!!!

I still love Doom and I download levels and maps every week and I'm in a clan for old school Doomers and I occasionally make maps as well. I also celebrate Doomsday every year and always look forward to Doomworld's Cacowards to get my hands on the best wads I might have missed.

I bet you $10,000 that in the next 16 years people will still remember, if not still play, Doom with fondness.

Games are so subjective that no matter what game you look at you will inevitably find someone who doesn't like something about it.
