The queen is good for nothing but tourism and that has no real effect on me, whereas I can go and watch a local footie match and enjoy myself. Of course the queen is more important, but I don't care very much at all.

I went for neither. Not hating on either just let the Royal Family impress the world by keeping the British just a little bit more pompous than places without one, and let the football clubs get on with playing football. Anyway I support a team from up North (Bolton, hells to the yeah) and live down South (as apparently so do half of all United fans) so I guess just 'football club' would be a better option?
Wow. I wasn't expecting that many people to vote Queen. I always thought no-one really gave a crap about her (inside the UK, anyway).

not a fan of either though if i had to pick one over the other i'd pick the queen, the royal family at least bring tourism to the country, as to football....well i prefer my sports not to be full of pre-madonnas, who don't understand what it means to put their body on the line for their team, i prefer the likes of rugby.

Ah, you misconstrued my meaning. Don't get me wrong, It's great that you're interested in and care about other cultures, and wish to find out more about them. My qualm with what you asked was where you asked it. I'm probably the only gamer I know that is into sports in any way, so I don't think this was the right place to ask this particular question if you wanted a representative response.LarenzoAOG said:

Both the American version and the proper Football, I think the sport is for people who can't take a real hit and thus don't want to play Rugby. (Though at least American Football forces you to be tackled which when done by a 250 pound man is not very pleasant)
