Only if it's a rehearsed ballroom kind of thing with a partner, waltz especially, or moshing/headbanging at a metal gig. 'Taking to the dance floor', hell no. Any casual dancing like in a club or disco or just 'moving around while there happens to be music on, absolutely not.

I love dancing. I look like an idiot most likely, but whatever. If I'm alone and my favorite song happens to enter my ears you can be damn sure I'm gonna start busting the moves. All of them.

Well, yeah. I mean; dancing is a lot like basketball: You drink a lot, the music gets loud, you and your mates cheer each other on and you jump up and down until you run out of money.

I can't dance but I love it. I always dance when I go to a club, even when the floor is nearly empty. Although I won't dance completely alone, as long as I'm with either a group of friends or just one girl I'm interested in. In fact I would say the best night of my life was spent dancing with a gorgeous German gymnast until 6am.
I would love to start taking some dance classes, actually. I'll have to look into it at uni this September.

No. And at the age of 35, it's about fucking time that people I know actually take it on-board.

You think people would take the hint when I walk off when asked. If you have to drag someone onto a dancefloor, they don't want to be there......pretty simple eh?

I abhor it.... abhor it with a seething passion of distrust and cynicalism... I struggle to watch dancers without laughing at how serious they take it (something I imagine they would do with me and all my hobbies,) and I squirm like a child being approached by Rolf Harris if I am asked to do it...

Then I get drunk.

Then I slut drop and turn into a dancing whore.

Then I love it.

Sure, I like it. Took the right woman to make me discover my liking of it, but yeah, it's a lot of fun. We've taken a couple of classes and are already signed up for another one. Mind you, it's all 'standard' stuff so far (various varieties of waltz, the 'fox group' of dances, boogie woogie, jive etc), but that just means there's still a whole lot of great dances to learn. :)

I hate and decline to dance for the same reason I hate and decline to act-- or used to, when I was a school-goer and thus occasionally expected to act.

While I watch professionals do these things for entertainment, and certainly don't think of them "These guys have no dignity", my refusal to do it myself is that I find and have always found even the thought of doing either myself humiliating, degrading, pathetic and wholly undignified.

So no. I don't dance.

Depends really...
I never go to clubs/parties since I hate the drunken social interaction it involves, so naturally I'd hate dancing in those scenarios. I can never really get in the mood to dance when I'm alone by myself in my flat (although I do like to time my movements to the music, like if I'm typing or whatever). However, Ceilidh dancing (Traditional Scottish dancing), is something I don't mind doing as long as it's with my girlfriend. Can never dance with any random person who I don't know which is a problem since a lot of Ceilidh dances involve switching dance partners mid-way through or dancing in groups of 3 or 4 or everyone in the damn room...

Proper dancing or 'I'm off my face!' dancing? Definitely not the former. The latter, sure! There's a few decent club nights that set up proper raves near me, and then it's just a matter of how many hours of POUNDING JUNGLE MUSIC my ears can take before I stop wobbling around like a drunk guy trying to swim. I don't really think any of the action that goes on at metal gigs really qualifies as dancing, but I do a lot of that too. It's less individual, but if you see any good footage of a circle pit or a wall of death, it's really fascinating to watch.

Like ballroom or just whatever constitutes for dancing nowadays?

Some part of me would be kind of tempted to try ballroom dancing, with someone I loved. But I don't know any decent places, or have anyone I love so I'm a bit stuffed.

I hate dancing in clubs. You just stand about and flap around a bit, then sing along to songs if you know the words. I will dance if I'm with a girl or I'm completely drunk. But in an ideal world I never have to dance, and no one would try to pressure me into doing it.

I've never been to a club or anything, so I haven't been in a situation where it might be appropriate. I don't think I would care to dance without being drunk, however, and since I don't drink...

Well, as the song goes: But "nemo saltat sobrius" (nobody dances sober), at least I usually don't.

When I'm a bit tipsy though, then dance might just happen. I even have about a year or so of dance training, but it was many, many years ago. And I'd forgotten most of it before I was even legally able to drink.

When the music is very good yeah. The barrier to me dancing is to appear foolish to the audience due to bad dancing. This is specially aplicable when it is, I don't know the proper term, dancing with a pair. Being the men you have to lead so you have to be trained on that thus 90% of the responsibility is with you, no pressure.

I am not kidding a male teacher dancing with a fresh gal seems totally natural and when a female teacher is dancing with a fresh guy you can actually feel their pain when trying to be good.

Hells yea, I do.
I used to do Breaking, hip hop then moved onto Salsa. I like dancing because being able to innately move your body to a rhythm helps me improve my music playing and martial arts. Or perhaps its the other way around, got no idea. Also being able to cut loose and just look like a moron without fear is cathartic for the self-esteem.

Not that big a fan of club scene, prefer party affairs with a dance floor.

Whenever you tell girls that you can dance, they often express a mixture of incredulity and a bit of curiosity. That's when you tell then that you'll show them, and then hold them close and take them to the dancefloor ;)

...and hopefully not spazz out like a epileptic.

...Unless she turns out to be into dorky guys.

I love dancing but I need either heavy industrial tunes or something like elektro swing to get in the mood. If the right music is provided I'll gladly jump on the dance floor and show of my non existing dance skills. Really, I can't dance but it's great fun and a great way to get to know some new people.

here are two example of the music I need:
