Honestly it's been working really well. Only some bugged quests every now and then and maybe a radscorpion stuck in a rock but that's it. Not one crash even.

Went with the PS3 version because my PC is barely above minimum requirements, and staying away from mods ensures I won't play it for eternity and grow up to be a loser.

I cleared it once in 50 hours and am now 10h into my second playthrough.

The first playthrough, I had about 15 freezes (1 of them lasted 20 seconds then fixed itself, all others required console reset)

On my second playthrough, I've had 1 freeze.

One thing I noticed is that the freezes are more common the further into the game you are, and depending on your version, where you are. (I've heard from PC people that there's a lot of freezes when entering the strip, I have the PS3 version and never froze there, but it happens terribly often in westside)

I haven't had any quest I couldn't finish, and I finished a healthy number of them. I also haven't had any weird graphical glitches, although my first character had unusually large hands when she had Blade of the East equipped (too bad you can't have it for long :D).
I've had a few quest bugs, like quests where the objectives were already finished before I picked the quest, but they fixed themselves once I finished all other objectives.

It's a terrible game, but also my favorite this year. I hate Gamebryo. I love Fallout!

who knew the anti-material rifle needed at least 6 strength with the perk? or that no matter how much you want to, you cant kill the Legendary Deathclaw.
Or a sneak attack headshot with the unique sniper rifle / SomethingAwful Gauss Rifle :(

Can I vote for two? I haven't had many problems, but there's only really the one radio station in game and it plays all four songs in a loop.

I've had 2-3 crashes in ~45 hours of play. A bit annoying, but nothing outrageous. Dragon Age crashed on me more.

I've had it for the 360 the entire time it's been out and it's only crashed a couple of times. Nothing serious or game breaking by any means.

No problems whatsoever. Well, except the story was kinda boring and I'm starting to regret my purchase.

23 hrs in. 2 crashes, 2 glitches. Definitely playable, but I'm bored now so I stopped playing. Fallout 3 was a better game imo.

Playing it on the PC. Minor things, nothing really worth mentioning (once in a blue moon an enemy will get stuck in terrain and such), no bugged quests or anything like that. Crashes are VERY rare, had like 2 or 3 in the whole playthrough. It's a far more polished game than FO3 was this early after release.

the only major ill I have with New Vegas is the eternal room, what I am calling it for now, in The Atomic Wrangler.

do the prostitute quest for the Wrangler and enter one of the rooms on the second floor, one will not let you exit since you need a seemingly non-existant key.

beyond that part, I only had to restart a few times due to player stupidity.

who knew the anti-material rifle needed at least 6 strength with the perk? or that no matter how much you want to, you cant kill the Legendary Deathclaw.

oh, you can try.......you can try......... but unless you have a full repaired FatMan, 100 Explosive skill, several thousand stim-packs, Med-X, Psycho, hydra, along with ED-E and Boone/Cass both upgraded, you might not even cripple his big toe.

and even then if you do manage to get him down to 40-50% health, you have to worry about the other deathclaws.......

I'm borrowing it from a housemate on Xbox, and it freezes every time I enter VATS. Every. Fucking. Time.

So I can play it, just not using VATS, which annoys me greatly.
try playing it when you can enter VATS and have Miss Fortune AND The Mysterious Stranger kill you when they appear to help you due to shitty spawn locations.

FIVE TIMES............ so far........
*boast* I got that bastard on very hard + hardcore. Try turbo, it makes a huge difference. I used turbo + psycho + slasher with the unique sniper rifle and handloaded .308 JSP ammo.

I have seen 3 enemies been stuck to a rock or under the ground, but nothing else. No crashes at all.

I guess I'm just lucky :D

I got it on the PS3 and I got some problems indeed:

- Primm's deputy being stuck with his head in the ceiling. Glad I could still talk to him though.

It's nothing gamebreaking, but can get annoying. Thanks to the game saving so very often I've never lots a lot of progress, and I'm still enjoying the game a lot.
The excact same thing happend to me, it looked like something out of Silent Hill.

Also, people sitting next to their chair.

I've had a handful of crashes and clitches, but most of them were at the start of the game; I'm not having any real problems now.

Ah yes, and people sleeping next to their beds.

Yesterday I had quite a freaky bug as well, after beating up that Legion prisoner. My arms and especially hands looked like they were completely mangled, all fingers broken and out of place.

I also remember an almost gamebreaking bug in the tutorial. At one point that girl's dog stopped moving, and she walked into him just marching on the spot neither of them actually moving. I had to push the dog aside for the tutorial to continue.

It has been slightly worse than Fallout 3 with crash to desktop events. It is significantly worse than Fallout 3 with respect to breaking quests.

I had the autosave problem along with a few others but I disabled steam cloud. It still, for some reason, did not resolve the autosave problem. The save was still there, it just kept appending a .bak to the end of it. So I wrote a small program that automatically renamed the file whenever I launch the game.

And to top it off, yesterday RNV played Big Iron twice in a row. If I hear that song one more time, I'm going to go Mysterious Stranger on someone.
With a big iron on your hip?
Try changing radio stations until you get fed up of that one.

OT: I've had a couple of crashes, Boone disappeared, twice when I've levelled up, it's given me another level, with all the bells and whistles for no reason, meaning I'm facing enemies better than the weapons I've had time to get, and the Van Graafs attacked me for walking through the door, but nothing seriously game breaking, just major annoyances.

For me it was so bad that I eventually gave up. Good thing is I only borrowed this game from a friend, because you can't return it (our shops have stupid policy regarding video games). Game wasn't THAT good anyway.
