While trying to sleep last night my mind began to wonder and i thought about the greatness that is Super Mario Bros 3. i remembered that whenever i went into that mushroom house and got to choose a box i always went for the middle one. there are probably a few other games where you have to choose between 3 boxes for a prize. which one would you usually go for, or do you randomly choose each time?

i go middle, right, middle, left, right, then start from beginning...

I almost always went for the one on the left.

I'd prolly get the one on the left.
Because that's how we Westerners are used to perceive stuff, from left to right.
Think of reading texts, counting cans, whatever, I'll almost always start from the left.

Usually the middle but I like to switch it up too.

I think in Mario Brothers Three I always got the end one, because I always used to jump over them. I can't think of another game in which I might have done this.

I would just randomly pick whatever one felt "lucky".
Does anyone else remember that the fireballs if you were fire mario were green in those mushroom houses?!?

Depends on my mood. Seriously I would just pick the first one I looked at

I choose left.
1)I'm left-handed.
2)I follow the left hand path.
3)The BMX rule:Keep going till you hit something then turn left.

I usually go for the far-right because, in the case with Mario, you almost always (there is no exception that I know of) enter from the left. I would imagine that some game-makers would assume gamers (or anyone, really) is lazy, and wouldn't bother going to the far-right because it takes longer.

As a kid I'd always go for the right. Probably doesn't matter though.

I use to go for random until Snake popped out and the GECKO chasing him crushed me.
