comes down to personal choice, telling the police brings up its problems of retaliation from other family members and other people living in the area that you "sniched" but you get the word out that its wrong but could help save a life or two from a cocaine related death.

on the other hand not saying anything has its own problems, being that the person knows you and due to the drug being the way it is could get you robbed, or the drugs could work its way to someone you know who is closer to you.

only safe thing to do is mention to your friend about getting off drugs, no easy thing to do but a start is a start.

I had a friend on who did alot of drugs, dust and hit the bobble alot, I talked to him about stopping and it worked, it just took 4 years of coaxing him away from the drugs, all I say is was worth it, hes a person now and has a family, not a mindless drug addict.

My warning to anyone would be:

The end result no matter the choice, drugs do crazy things to people.

Jesus, that's horrible. I don't know what I would do. I'd probably do nothing. Get away from them and never talk to them again. I seriously have no bravery in times like those.

Regrettably, it would probably be better to report them in. They should not possess or use that drug and the fact that they gave themselves away that easily only warrants their arrest. I mean, if they're stupid enough to show you then they're stupid enough to get caught.

Plus, that stuff isn't good for them, so arguably it is doing them harm.

I've pretty much already made up my mind what choice I'll make, but I wanted to see what you all thought about the situation.

So what would you do in this case (assuming it was your friend's friend in your area and everything)?
It is very much a question of personal judgement. If you're prepared to step in and intervene, bear in mind that you will need to carry this through to wherever it goes. If you think that's something you have the willpower to do and see enough reason to warrant urgent action, then go for it. Otherwise, whistleblowing will be difficult, may not see anything come out of it and you'll end up being ostracised if it comes to light.

Can you fight for this? Reporting someone to the police is not just a matter of washing your hands of the issue, and your involvement does not end with letting someone else know.

Make your stand and make it properly or sit down. Only you can choose between those two options.

There is a quote button in the corner of every post. Otherwise unless smashlovestitanquest is reading the posts for further developments then chances are they will be unaware that you are answering them.

OT: I don't really think its any of your business OP. If the person that you have interacted with wants to give up their drug habit then help them find a clinic where they can go. It is sad that they have exposed their 16 year old to cocaine but at this point, unless he wants to get off drugs on his own volition then there is very little you can do.

Inform the authorities. Cocaine is a disgusting drug, and the fact that this guy's parents are giving it tohim is wrong on so many levels.
