In CS, if I missed a shot I would stop firing for 10 seconds as punishment to myself.

I have a friend who believes "spray and pray" is the only thing that matters. Seriously, what good is a super-ultra-mega gun when you can't even hit anything with it. Sometimes I can actually understand why his mum treats him like shit (a story for another time).

Accuracy is just as vital as damage and firing speed, but recoil reduction on the other hand isn't so important to me.

Not really, its nice to see a high accuracy count at the end of a level though. Doesnt bother me really. I was playing Killzone and got 4 - 5% before think that was my lowest hehe dont know what my hghest was.

Depends on the shooter, if I can get away with spraying, hell yeah. But if I need to aim more then I will. I don't care so much about accuracy, but kill count.

**bumped instead of starting new, similar topic.
thought i'd just state that here, so people realize to okay to searchbar up a thread**
I used to think accuracy meant skill, but that's just not true, because as you become obsessed with it, you end up only taking shots when you know you will hit, and while you do get kills, it doesn't help the team, espicially if that guy was killing a teammmate.
with this in mind, i have become a fan of 'accurate spam', where when i know where the enemy is, i will start spraying rounds at them even oif i don't see them, or even when they are in cover.
i believe its know as 'suppressing fire' or that thing your supposed to be doing with LMG's.
quite amusing in, say, bad company 2 beta, to find a non-bulletproof material, then fire off 200rounds from the magazine, killing several fools inside.
espicially when you didn't know they where actually there.
or laying waste to an area and see the enemy walk right into the stream of fire.

As long as the enemy dies and I don't, i don't care how many bullets went past him in the process

I'm British like Sean Connery, not American like Shane West, so I don't shoot all over the place and hope to hit something (cookie for reference). I aim then shoot. Maybe that's why I'm such a good sniper in games...
League of extraordinary gentlemen?
I go for accuracy myself, right now using the ACR with an acog. 20% accuracy cause of it, and while not great, still isn't bad and I usually average 5-1 kill to death ratio, so it is pretty effective

It depends for me. If it's a sniper rifle, accuracy is my life (Though I am not that accurate) but if it's a SMG, LMG, or an assault rifle, I tend to be a bit wild with my shooting, but I do try to use the aim button as best as I can. Though if I have the LMG out, I tend to waste a whole clip trying to shoot a guy that's barely got his body shown. Works too, though the guy would probably be pissed I killed him like that.
