An Achievement/Trophy Whore is someone that will go that extra mile to earn that one hard achievement/trophy in a game... Just wanted to see how many people would sell their souls for achievements as quickly as I would...

On a similar topic, what's the achievement/trophy your most proud of?

For me, it's gotta be "5 Day Survivor" on Dead Rising... 11 hours and 42 minutes of hell that was... It was so worth it!

Never going to attempt to get 7 Day Survivor though... EVER!!!

EDIT: Another one I'm quite proud of is "Enlightened Guitarist" on Guitar Hero 3...
"100% Star 20 songs on Expert"

Put way more hours into that than I did on 7DS...

Nah, I never go out of my way to get an achievement. It just doesn't appeal to me, hell, looking through them all, there's some I could easily get, but that would involve me having to, you guessed it, go out of my way to get them.

No. Though I want to do some of the achievements on DR simply for what they unlock.

I will go slightly out of my way for GS, or significantly out of my way for a FUN challenge, but something like 5DS or 7DS I won't bother with unless there's another reward for it. Zombie Genocider was a massive grind, but I love the RMB.

Similarly, I will probably never get Bladder of Steel on Rock Band 2, because I'm not hardccore enough to play for like 6 hours.

Yeah see, I tried that and about 3/4 through the entire list my dog walked in front of me and ripped the guitar cord out, effectively pausing the game... Then I RageQuit...

I try to get as many achievements as I can, but if they go into multiplayer or a huge grind or an easily messed up thing that takes forever to do, I usually don't go near those.

I do try to get as Many Trophys as i can, if i like the game that is, I have went Platinum on All 3 GOW games for example because there awesome, in Contrast i got everything in Infamous but the Blast Shard things, because theres 350 of them, and hell no.

Basically i'll do it if it doesnt involve stupid amounts of looking around or Grinding on one thing.

I like the challenge of some of them but usually if I don't feel like doing it I just say "fuck it". Like yesterday I was playing UT3 and one is getting 20 kills on a god-like bot without dying, I got killed once after having like 1 kill and gave up on that one. I also don't bother with online ones since I usually don't play online. Basically for me it's just something extra to do if I'm bored or want an extra challenge.

I did get 100% on Fallout 3 but I love that game so much I could play for days and not get bored. I also got all the trophies on Dragon Age before the newer DLC (which I didn't buy due to lack of money) but again I loved that game it was hard to get bored and I wanted to see the different endings/story paths.

Well no, haven't even gotten all the taunt achievements in TF2. I just don't see the point.

I consider myself an achievement whore, yes..
Especially i WoW, im a sucker for getting the Feats of Strength since they are generally hard to get or only available for a short period of time...

Guilty..

Well, I only complete the games I love 100%, like Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Assassin's Creed 2. And I stay far away from collecting achievements (though I got the feathers in AC2. Exception to the rule).

I do enjoy my Gamerscore. I have even played games I don't like to get it. My brother's Naruto games, for instance..

I grind single player achievements mostly. For example, I have all the SC2 campaign cheeves, except the Lost Viking ones (That'd take like 5 hours or something).

For multiplayers, not so much. In TF2, for example, I actively hunted for achievements until I got all the unlocks. After that I just slightly modified my tactics to get some of the more achievable ones. The craziest ones that basically require a set-up/cooperative victim(s) I don't bother with.

If I like a game enough, trophies are a way to give extra objectives to meet If I feel like it, but I don't really care about my gamer score and it can ruin multiplayer when people would rater get achievements than actually play.
