I don't mind them the things that really bother me are the people who stage achievements like bringing a party of friends into a game and having the suckers stand still so they can get the five headshots in one life achievement or whatever.

Of the top of my head I almost have all the Special Infected achievements for L4D2 which I like because I tend not to get multiplayer centric achievements.

I do try to get as Many Trophys as i can, if i like the game that is, I have went Platinum on All 3 GOW games for example because there awesome, in Contrast i got everything in Infamous but the Blast Shard things, because theres 350 of them, and hell no.

Basically i'll do it if it doesnt involve stupid amounts of looking around or Grinding on one thing.
i definetly a trophy whore and i've put so many hours into some games... in fact i got all those stupid blast shards, and i didn't sell dead space because i was 90% away... i guess i don't like seeing it say 90% or anything close to finish also i get the most out of my game... like Fallout 3...

An Achievement/Trophy Whore is someone that will go that extra mile to earn that one hard achievement/trophy in a game... Just wanted to see how many people would sell their souls for achievements as quickly as I would...

On a similar topic, what's the achievement/trophy your most proud of?

For me, it's gotta be "5 Day Survivor" on Dead Rising... 11 hours and 42 minutes of hell that was... It was so worth it!

Never going to attempt to get 7 Day Survivor though... EVER!!!
I don't like the term "Whore" for someone who likes earning things

But yes I like getting achievements, what bugs me is someone making fun of my score; just because you have 89 games and 2-3 achievements in each due to your short attention span DOESN'T give you the right to brag that your score is higher then mine (I only have 4 games)

There are a few I strive for, but mostly I just play the game to my own satisfaction. I generally get about 60-70% on a playthrough anyhow. That's good enough for me.

Really depends on the achievements, if they don't involve collecting insane amounts of knik-knaks or killing 100k aliens then Ill probably get them. If I like the game enough to play it a second time Ill collect achievements the second time around.

I hate doing things pointlessly such as aiming to wipe off every pigeon in Liberty City.

However if items and hats are at stake I'll haplessly waste my life away. That's why my favorite achivement is Medic Milestone 3 for TF2.

I only go out of my way for achievements that would be fun. Like in Fable II, shooting the head and hands off of a Hollow Man and then killing it. That was hilarious.

I'm kind of a achievement whore. The only time I out of the way is if it is either really easy or adds and interesting challenge like the crackdown achievements. I never do collecting achievements do, The only game where I did the collecting achievements was Call of Duty 4 and that was only because it gave you cheat codes.

Somewhat... If its possible I can get the achievements, I'll go for them... But if they are too far out of the way, or beyond my skill level, then I pass...

Yes. I don't have any really hard achievments, but I just feel proud when I get all of them on a game. Then I feel sad because I have no reason to play that game again.

To a certain extent.
I do enjoy the sense of accomplishment from getting an achievement, every time the little message pops up to tell me I got one I just think quietly to myself "Fuck yea..."

And I will go a bit out of my way to get an achievement, but if it's something outrageously difficult like "Finish game on hard mode without dying in under 5 hours and only shoot 3 bullets" then I'm fine with ignoring it.

The fact that I still don't have the achievement for finishing Mass Effect 2 on insanity difficulty still kinda eats at me, since it's the only one standing between me and 100% achievement completion, and getting that achievement would make it the first time I ever got all the achievements on a game ever.

Fuck, now I've gotta go do that.
Oh well, at least it's still fun to play, even after the 3rd time beating it.

Im not really since I only have a GS of 7465, but I enjoy getting achievements, Gives me something to work for. I think, out of all my games, I have the most achievements for either Mass Effect 2 or Fallout 3.

I dont really have an achievement I'm proud of since the ones I have are probably easy to get.

I define trophy whore as: achievements are weighted in your decision to get a game || you consider 100% completion to be an objective in playing a game.

Under this, I am not an achievement whore.

I have a unique problem in that I am obsessive compulsive enough to want 100% on my games and be bothered when I don't have it but too attention deficit to be able to grind at one game enough to get 100% so I usually end up with 80-90% in games (Except for all those damn DLC achievments)

I don't have too many achievements that are praiseworthy but I am rather proud of getting Dead Space's "One Gun" and "Epic Tier 3 Engineer" at the same time to 100% that game.

It depends, if it's an achievement that unlocks something in game for me then sure i'll try to get it. If we're just talking about trophies etc that tbh hold no real value then i couldn't care.
