Poll: Achievments or Trophies?

I prefer achievements but only cos i'm a Xbox user and more used to them. Barley any difference.

Trophies are much easier to compare, the Platinum gives a much better motivation for completing, and it's much eaier to compare and to tell if someone has gotten all trophies (on 360 they have variable amounts of achievement points, but no percentage, you also don't know which came form DLc or the original game).

How did they do that, exactly? If people want to just get more achievements and trophies and take pleasure from that, that's their business. It isn't hurting gaming or you.

Sorry I didn't elaborate. I got hooked on achievements for a while and then now that I don't bother with them I noticed a serious lack in unlocks in game. There appears to be little reason for develepors to expect people to go for hard unlocks when they can just use achievements as a means to make people do stuff.
It also brought about the age of the collectable. Although they've been in most games there has always been a point to them. Now it's just for an achievement. Not getting 1000/1000 on games is also annoying if the achievements are a bit silly.
Its all opinion though, people will disagree with me but thats my thoughts.

Achievements. You can delete poorly chosen games from your history within moments, provided you don't have an achievement in that game.

And before anyone mentions demos, Not every game has them.
