I only choose Valve because Cd Project - GoodOldGames, does not have as many games in their inventory. If they had as many games as Steam, they would definitely be my first choice, then Valve...

Digital distribution.
Is several times better than CDs.
Your CD can be damaged.
No need to waste time swaping disks
My games are on my hard drive.
While I can't speak for the rest of it, I can see why some people don't like DD. They might have a bad internet connection, or just lack a constant internet connection to actually download the games or have them run smoothly. There's also the DRM issues if their internet is not that reliable.

Also, some people also just prefer having a hard copy of their game.
That doesn't make it a jerk-y business practice. Plus, you can buy hard copies of all of VALVe's main games so... I get why people don't like it, but that doesn't make it a jerk-y business decision. That's the equivalent of me saying that Rockstar are a bunch of jerks because they didn't make L.A. Noire accessible on my PC.

unlike other devs, it's mostly able to be ignored.
It's completely ignorable.

Valve certainly. I really wish for EA and Activision together to go bankrupt (the IPs won't die, they'd get sold to better managers in a clearance sale). They hurt the industry tremendously...

That's wishful thinking of course. The standards of most gamers are so low, and so predictable, that those companies would be the last ones to bankrupt. I think what WILL help, though, is the growth of gaming outside the US (i.e., in Eastern Europe, South America, etc.). Largely because there, (in my impression), a different type of games is generally more popular - ones that EA and Activision have less of a hold over. But yeah, again, that's wishful thinking.

CD Projekt I only played the first witcher which is only a good game but I think they are an awesome company even if as far as I know they made only two games. With how they releasd an enhanced edition for a game and allowed peopple to download it for free who bought the original. Their anti DRM stance. The fact they are associated with GOG. They take their sweet time making games even if they still have their flaws.Yeah, the business practices are probably not as efficient as the other companies. But the question wasn't about which business practices are better for making a profit but which I liked more.

valve. they make nothing but gold and they randomly sell games for cheap for no reason such as knocking portal 2 price down a week after its release for no apparent reason
