This assuming the average adult player is any better behaved.

And no, as the mute button is free.
Exactly. The assumption that child gamers are worse then normal ones is quite incorrect. Anyone can be an asshat on the internet.

I would like to turn it into an if then statement.

If you live with your parents
Then don't play games with me, or bother talking to me.

But then again some people are cool even at a younger age. I got XBL at 13 a good 8 years ago at least. I never griefed or was obnoxious. If I can be good than so can other younger people.

Then again when I was younger XBL had just been released and only total nerds had it. Now a days every 13 year old has it, which means kids can be annoying and still find friends. Back in the day you had to be pretty damn good and/or a real team player to find people who would friends list you (due to the way the voice sounds at that age).

tell you what you can block the kids but you also have to block the adult gamers who act as if everyone one the team works for them.

I thought I paid extra by buying a game rated M that children aren't supposed to play, but bad parenting kept that from being the perk I thought it would be. If there were a way to get around that, yes. I'd pay for that.

And as hard as it might be to believe, adults are actually nicer and less racist than children. We just like cursing.

Maybe, but not 5$ a month! That would make you pay twice as much for a year subscription. Maybe an extra 5$ a year though. However, I would not buy it because it would be flawed. Origionally you had to be 18 to even have XBL.

I am 40 so i guess thats an adult lol..

on XBL? yes. Experiance has shown that the mass majority of teens playing FPS games are a bunch of self intitled dickheads with no self control and no concept of good/bad behaviour on voice coms. but I dont use a console and wont for multiplayer.

on my platform.. PC? no, i have ban capabilities in the online games I play. and i have banned plenty of self intitled dickhead adults with no self control and no concept of good/bad behaviour on voice coms as well as the teen variety. the adults are more fun, you say as calmly as possible "goodbye" in teamspeak or vent. ban them on the game server give them 5 seconds to start cussing on the voice, and ban em there. they pop up on our website and demand to know why they were banned. funny they get all civil then.

I wouldn't pay for such a service, and it's mostly because it'd be utterly ineffective. Older players aren't automatically more mature, rather they just know more ways to be immature (or as they like to call it, "maturity"). Throw in the fact it's online gaming... yeah, it's not going to work.

I would. There's annoying as hell adults as well as kids, but it always gets on my nerves when you've got a bunch of kids talking as loud as they can and just complaining about everything. Sure, there'd be kids who set up their xbox live account with a fake birth date, but still, it's very annoying when you have to deal with them. Me and my friends finally decided to just play all of our games in parties so we could avoid that, but then Modern Warfare 2 ruined that for us by forcing us to use game chat. Oh well. I doubt this will ever happen, and if it does, it won't be perfect. It'd definitely beat having to mute people all of the time.

Since I can sit in an empty party and just ignore voice chat entirely, no. But even if I couldn't children are less annoying to me than dickish adults.

Nope. Some adults are just as likely to swear and use racial slurs and play poorly on purpose just like some kids. So getting away from kids wouldn't really solve anything.

Whenever I happen to play online I rarely bother with my mic to begin with. Secondly, in my many years with the Halo franchise. I have come across a plethora of equally annoying adult gamers. Hell, in Black Ops the other week I was in a group where one of the guys thought it was hysterical to shoot off every black racial slur he could think of, and gauging from his voice. He had to be pushing mid twenties.

No. I also question the intelligence of anybody that would pay an extra $5 a month for something that you could easily solve with the mute button.

Or in other words, I think you're a fucking moron and it's in your best interests to keep you away from sharp objects.

No, because not only is the mute button free but I haven't met many "adult" gamers who are that much better. On the contrary one of the most mature people I've ever played with online turned out to be 10 years younger than me (only 10 at the time, I was 20).

There was actually an over 18 only online game I played once and I lol'ed so hard when I played that. All of the "adults" there seemed pretty childish. I met one player who admitteded to being underage and it was remarkable how easy it was for him to blend in.

No I wouldn't. Kids aren't THAT bad. For one, most shooters allow you to mute them so you don't have to hear their little voices. And most of the time kids are worse players than a seasoned FPS-playing adult. So if they're enemies, you can get loads of easy kills off them. I don't dislike kid players, I just dislike how they sound and sometimes how they behave. But you really can't tell the difference between kids and older players if the kids don't use a microphone. I've had older players betray me and teabag my corpse too, so I don't see what the big deal is. But not all of them are so bad. I was a determined combatant years ago when I was 14, and I'm sure lots of kids are the same as I used to be.
