I don't belive in anything unless it has been proved by science.
Buuuuuuuut they likly exist as it is impossible that in an infinite universe we are the only sentient beings.

And that aliens are concerned/technologically advanced enough to visit us.

I believe in aliens in that the universe is so huge, odds of their being other life in the universe is incredibly high. I do not believe what flew over China was aliens, however.

You wouldn't be talking about this one, would you?

... Because we all know this was a weather balloon, right guys?[/quote]

I would add the Tardis, Millenium Falcon or Death Star, and Olimar's Ship. Nice identification chart!

I believed in aliens since I was a kid.

While I most definitely believe in Extra Terrestrials, I can't help but be skeptic.

But yeah, the Universe is just -WAY- to big to only house -us- of all living creatures.

I believe in aliens but I highly doubt they would come here just to fly accross populated areas suspiciously.

I say it was a military experiment, China is a world power so it´s not hard to believe they could have made something that fitted the description of the U.F.O.
Also, U.F.O. stands for unidentified flying object, so a U.F.O. does not have to be an alien spaceship.

China is not a world power yet. China's military spending is nothing compared to the united states. Hell, they even spend only 30 billion more on the military then us brits. If anything it would be a united states UFO.

In maybe another 20-40 years i do believe chinas GDP will rival americas, though. Once they get most of there citizens out of poverty.
America is not the only world power.
There´s England, Germany, Russia, France and I can´t think of any others at the moment.

Just because they are not a rival for the United States does not mean they are not a world power.
Of course, my mistake. I only meant that projects like that ufo in the skies of china would only be feasible in military funding like america gets.

Goddammit, I paid those prawns good cat food to arrive in time to mess up the world cup...

OT: I don't believe in aliens much more than I did before, which is to say, I believe in the possibility of aliens. Nevertheless, this sighting is extraordinary, and even if it is a chinese experiment, the question still frankly beckons: "What the hell is it?"

I always have and always will believe in aliens, however I don't and probably never will believe they have ever visited us .. it would take way too long a time to get to us even at light speed and what would be the point ? probing our anus ? :p

I'm also pretty certain that they won't visit us in the near or even distant future, fact is there is a high chance that humanity will never encounter aliens (not intelligent anyway).

And here's the most important question .. why would we want them to visit ? if they are so technologically advanced that they can get to us in an acceptable time then we would be at their mercy, and really.. why would they be friendly and help us ? god knows if the tables were turned we'd probably turn them in to slaves and mine their planet of its natural resources.

I have yet to see conclusive evidence supporting the existence of extra-terrestrial intelligence, much less any that suggests that they've actually come here.

Having said that, however, it is logical to assume that if intelligent life can arise on one planet under certain conditions, and those same conditions exist in many other places, then it is almost certain that in the vastness of the universe intelligent life has arisen elsewhere. If something can happen once, it can happen twice.

Yes, but not because of the China sighting. I've had some belief in alien species for a while.

The China sighting is the exhaust plume from a rocket as it exits the atmosphere

This is a very common occurrence.

And conversely, it is typical human arrogance to believe that an advanced species would even consider visiting this little backwater planet.

I believe that there is alien life out there, I do not think Chinas military test was one of their ships.

As most of you will now know there was a UFO that flew across china recently, the chinnese goverment are calling it a military experiment. but it was moving inhumanly fast and was emmiting a brilliant white light and as it was moving horizontally it couldn't have been a sattelite.

So what do you think, have you just started believing in aliens? do you think that we cannot be alone in the universe/ or do you not believe in them at all?
Check your spelling! Country names have capital letters! Capital letters should be used at the beginning of a new sentence! 'Satellite' has two 't's!

What is 'inhumanly fast'? As far as I know the top speed of a human is around 30 mph. What do you mean by moving 'horizontally', in reference to which other direction!? How can you claim that it "couldn't" be a satellite? What tests have you done to confirm this?

Your last question is an utter mess but I will answer. Yes, there may be aliens given the vastness of the known universe however, it is unlikely that intelligent aliens would exist within the short period 100,000 years that 'man' has existed.

It is kinda hard not to believe in Aliens. You can't possibly think in this infinite universe that we are the only planet with lifeforms on it?
You could possibly think that however, we do not know that the universe is infinite, if that were the case it would make the chance of life, intelligent life, existing at the same time as us unlikely.

I answered maybe, because I assume you wanted to know if they were actually here on earth doing "flyby's" or something.
If you meant somewhere in the galaxy, my answer would be "yes"

I'm pretty much with this guy. It's not about believing in aliens, it's more about doubting we're alone.
