Ugh. Stop it.brainless906 said:Lol again same attitude (just in a different way.) everybody has this common conception that WoW will never fall, and because of that WoW WILL never fall, regardless of the epic-ness of any game around it. no matter how good a new game is, it will always be blown off. This attitude is phail.Phoenix Arrow said:It is a badly made Korean MMO.xavierxenon said:No, it won't kill WoW. From what i've seen Aion looks exactly like every other badly made korean MMO.
WoW is, unfortunately, watertight. Blizzard have polished it so much that it can't be toppled. It's an awful game but it's the biggest by far so what can you do? Buy FFXIV when it comes out.
Fine ok. WoW has the biggest fanbase out of any game. Probably has the biggest fanbase out of any type so entertainment media thing. Tell me a film that has that many million people watching it every day? At no point did I say that Aion won't have a big playerbase, of course it will. Final Fantasy XIV will. Final Fantsy XI has one already, as does Guild Wars, Warhammer, Age of Conan, EVE and just about every other MMO you care to mention. Your attitude that one game will descend from the heavens and knock the socks of WoW is frankly immature and unrealistic. All it will be is one of the many MMOs which will be popular, but not as popular as WoW. Is not a conception, it's a reality. People don't like change. The amount of people that will drop WoW in favour for this will be less than the amount of user WoW will gain in one day. I can gaurantee that.
Before you accuse me of being a fanboy, I'll say that I think WoW is an awful example of an MMO. I'll also point out that I play Final Fantasy XI and I've reached the level cap on Red Mage, so don't accuse me of shutting out other possibilities or whatever you're going to say. Cling to your hopeless pretentions if that's what keeps you warm at night, but don't come at me with your holier-than-thou attitude.
I'm done now. =]
