werent the predators in the first alien versis predator film going through an initiation? as in they were presumably younger and less experianced than most predators?,

the 2nd film had a more experianced predator in action and he kicked/killed royal ass against everything but the young predalion queen and even that wasnt made easy for the predalion. (in hand to hand combat no less)

There is a difference between being able to dish it out and taking it, Predators should be able to take no matter the age, given some variance ofc which is why I brought up the shotgun difference.

Look at it this way, a kung-fu master will be able to take on more highly-skilled opponents and take a more severe beating than someone who has just started learning. A fully trained special forces member (SEAL/Ranger/Delta/Green Beret, SAS, Spetsnaz, IDF etc.) is going to be able to handle themselves better than a soldier just out of basic.

Predator, easy. They go on random hunting parties of five or less and slaughter the Aliens by the truckloads in all the extended fiction. The more adept they are, the less tech they use and the ultimate challenge is for a lone Yautja to take down an Alien Queen with wristblades only. It has been done.
