Considering how huge space is, it would be hard to believe that there aren't any alien species.
The chances that Earth is the only inhabited planet in the entire universe are slim indeed. Probably [insert huge number] to one.

I bet they're already here, on Earth. Not disguised as anything, just hiding.
I bet they have some sort of cloaking device. Would explain some of the "paranormal" activity with things getting knocked over.

But seriously, yes I think it's unthinkable that alien life doesn't exist somewhere in this universe. In fact hadn't they recently found evidence to suggest life on the moon Titan? Point it, this universe is vast and it's wholly likely that life exists out there.
As for alien life on Earth well, it's a thought but ultimatley it seems unlikely that they've ever visited. I mean obviously there's me but other than that, no one that I can think of.

Wasn't there some formula that stated that by probability, there had to be at least four other planets in our galaxy alone with intelligent life?

Of course they exist: I have a family (or 'cluster' I should say) of them living across the street. They keep to themselves though so I've no problem with them

I believe evidence of life was also discovered not too long ago on the moon Titan. Beyond that I think there is life. Of all the stars in this galaxy alone, Sol can't be the only one to have produced a planet likes ours (meaning: A planet baring life, not necessarily a rocky world dominated by water and oxygen breathing animal life)

They exist. Mathematically, they exist in the universe. But mathematically, it's impossible that we would meet any unless they existed VERY CLOSE to our solar system. Otherwise, complications with space time would mean that if they went to find us, we'd probably be dead by the time they got there, and their planet would also be dead by the time they got back.
Basically, it's not worth fretting over something so silly.

The odds are strong that there is bound to be alien life somewhere in the universe.
