Yeah, because the pokeball Pokemon was so much better. Or the pile of sludge that evolves into an even bigger pile of sludge. I'm not saying that 600+ pokemon are good, but don't knock the newest games for stupid reasons.

The original Pokemon actually resembled monsters. Its in the name, Pocket Monsters!
I think I'd feel more threatened by an electric mouse than a chandelier...
Anyway, I wasn't knocking the games, I was knocking the Pokemon

While saying Red and Blue were the best. Anyway, I never mentioned anything about Pikachu or other animal type monsters and I agree that some new designs are uninspired, I was merely pointing out that some of the original ones weren't much better.

They all have their goods and bads, really. The most original design in the newest generation was probably Volcarona, in my opinion. Pokemon like it were really original. Others are just copy/pasted or look like utter crap and trash (like Muk and Garbador, respectively). I don't think it has so much to do with them being newer--some of the designers just have no flare for innovation, I think.

When all else fails, work with what you know, right? Doesn't get simpler than garbage and sludge.
