Depends what I'm doing with my days really... but if I'm just idling, I'll quickly slip into the soul destroying 'sleep-at-8am-get-up-at-5pm' routine which usually requires a strategic all-nighter to pull back to something resembling normal. Also happens quite often when I've got a piece of work to hand in. Doesn't matter how long they give us, it's always done the night before it's due. I never pull an all-nighter just for gaming though, I don't think I'd have the attention span, to be honest.
As for how it affects me - it doesn't, really, at least not in unexpected ways. I get tired. Perhaps a bit grumpy. Maybe even a bit tetchy. But... hallucinations and weird shit like that? Nah.
We have a weird thing here as well, sometimes universities here assign you a college, which is kinda like a school 'house' - they do it in York where I study but the best examples are Oxford and Cambridge: their colleges are almost like mini-universities in their own right.
