The TV series, maybe. The series of OVAs are pretty damn great, though.

Every villain in the plot just breaks down when they face him, and he kicks a dude's leg off, stabs a girl through the heart with her own gun and his intro scene is just him getting shot to ribbons, piecing himself back together and then owning them.

why do all 3 have crosses on their shit? japan, i know you know as much about our culture as we know about yours (not much), but rule number 1 is the fact that VAMPIRES+CROSSES=ASHES not VAMPIRES+CROSSES=NOT MUCH. oh, and i choose alucard from hellsing. castlevania is too much of a pretty boy, and hellsing is much more entertaining

Actually, in a "who'd win in a fight" I'd easily go with Hellsing's Alucard. Mostly because he's just too overpowered. To the point of tedium.
When you see him recover one should-be-fatal mess after another it just makes the show and the manga lose some of it's suspence...
Money's still on him though, he's just funnier. And I have a figurine of him that is staring at me.

Alucard from Hellsing is hilarious to me.
I've played a few Castlevania games and Alucard is just boring to play as for me, and he doesn't have any memorable lines or witty banter as far as I know. Not enough there for me to even care about. (Don't get me wrong I love the Castlevania games I've played.)

Castlevania is really "meh" to me, and I honestly can't recall a single intresting thing about it's Alucard.

Hellsing Alucard is so awesome that it hurts, and he's funny.

Hellsing just because he has more personality. Yes, he's overpowered, but it is somewhat explained. And if you look at the story, he does get extremely frustrated by the fact that there is no one out there to really challenge his skills.
