This thread, being about 20 posts long already, seems to disagree with you. I feel that this evidence is persuasive enough.

More seriously, though, it just depends on the discussion value of the topics. I haven't started any threads here yet because I don't have any significant topics to add to the site. Basically, worry more about making high quality threads than long ones. Plus, shameless bumping, if done ina way which furthers the conversation, isn't a terrible thing.

While it is true that I have no idea what you're talking about, that seems to be a pretty dangerous bet. I mean, that's a hell of a lot of cookies to gather, let alone deliver (on top of all those internets!). You must be pretty damn sure that you're the only one who knows what you're talking about.

No I didnt disturb mummy remains or anything, but it seems like every time I post in a forum that thread immediately ceases to be noticed after one or two more posts. I feel like I have the touch of death on the internets. so my question to you is how much should i actually care about this?

I'm the creator of more than 1000 threads. That's three zeroes. Most of my threads tend to cease after 50 posts. My most significant one however got 1000+ posts however. I must have met my antithesis.

Hehe, yea I feel like that sometimes. I'll make a post and then the thread dies and I wonder quietly if it was something I said.. or maybe the garlic pizza did, we'll never know
