Poll: Am I the only one that liked the original Xbox controller?

I liked it. Fit my huge hands just fine. Also, whenever I went to my mate's house to play on his Xbox (never had one of my own), I'd get the official controller while he took the Mad Catz version. For me at least, this never happened with anyone else.

Still prefer the 360 version though, that's probably the best controller design ever. Even if it does feel a bit small.

Maybe it was because my hands were pretty small at the time, but I did not enjoy that controller compared to the great PS2 and perfect Gamecube controllers. I still have no idea how you press the Black and White buttons.

I hated that controller so much I couldn't even enjoy the games because it was just to hard to control. Then again I still don't like the 360's controller. Though the fact they made those controllers for gorilla hands is only part of the reason.

in regards to the Xbox controller though I hated it, I didn't much care for the Xbox in general except when Shenmue 2 was re-released on it,

The only official controller I haven't really gelled at all with is the Playstation's, Sony really need to overhaul the whole damn thing.

They tried, people complained, they went back to the dual shock design. Stupid consumers.

As for the Xbox controller; I hated it. The shape wasn't bad, but it was far too big. And I want to mention that I'm 6'2" and have correspondingly large hands yet I could not enjoy holding that thing. The controller S was better though.

Not surprisingly though, my friend with long chimpanzee fingers loved it.

I found myself wanting to choose two of the three poll options... I liked the original controller, and used it as long as possible until it broke and another original one wasn't available. Even with that said, however, there is no denying it was a hulking monstrosity... That's a fact, not an opinion. I mean, just look at the definitions:

Hulking - Adjective: (of a person or object) Large, heavy, or clumsy.

Monstrosity - Noun: Something, esp. a building, that is very large and is considered unsightly.

I don't think anyone can honestly claim that both those terms don't apply to the original controller perfectly. I loved it anyway, though.

I'l be honest I never held one long enough to get used to it.

I mainly played of GC last gen and when I held a PS2 controller I was like WUUUUUUUUUT, but after playing with it I got used to it and I now play on PS3.

I hated the original. Huge clunky monstrosity indeed.

I love the 360 controller, the Dual Shock is good as well.

I didn't like the original, and quite frankly, don't like the current, but it is MUCH better. The PS controller feels more natural for me. Though the R2/L2 on the PS3 controllers bother me slightly. I prefer the PS2 controllers above all.
