I swear, but not out loud. Just in my head...I don't like typing swear words either. They just seem...well, if words had individual colours associated with them they'd be the colour of toxic waste.

Edit: I'm not saying I don't type them, 'cos I do, I just don't do it wilynily.

Language is language.
It's the context that counts.
Though I never reduce myself to remarks with sexual or racial connotations.
Those are pretty much derogatory regardless of circumstance.

I swear whenever I feel the need, or if I deem it fitting the occasion.
Especially in churches.

I swear like a sailor when I'm with friends. I manage to keep it a bit more civil when at work.

I feel the same OP, I say "fudge" and "schmit" and "smeg" instead :D

Although I can cuss better than anyone when I'm really mad. In fact when I'm full of RAGE It can be just a constant string of swears :0

But yeah, when I'm not angry beyond reason, I try not to swear :p
What does smeg replace?

I come from a working house class, with a dad and friends who talk like sailors. So I swear. I can easily control it though.
I think smeg means nob-cheese. Just going to throw that out there, for all those people who have Smeg kitchenware. And yes, of course I swear, OP. It's unhealthy to suppress your instincts. And if you're doing shit online it's very therapeutic to let out a loud "for FUCK'S sake!"

EDIT: I realise the phrase 'doing shit online' is quite ambiguous so I'm going to clarify - I meant if you're doing really badly at an online game, for example TF2.

Having slipped on the ice outside my office for the umpteenth time I called f-ing c-ing f-ing ice. Only on these forums I manage to hold myself back and only then because I'm trying to restore my ability to express myself without resorting to swear words.

Though to me swear words are nothing, I appreciate that they upset others and sometimes you have to modify your behaviour for the good of decency.

'Swears' are just words, there's nothing wrong with them.
Agreed. I say them. Not constantly, but, I just use them as casually as I do any other word

I swear at times, but mostly I try to put things more eloquently, not for any moral, religious or OCD reasons, but mostly because I love it when the literacy of people shine through, including myself. Sad to see a colorful and vibrant language go to waste on shorthand slang and cusswords.

Sure I swear. But I try to only swear when it's appropriate.
Or when playing videogames.

Not to an excessive amount. I do fancy dropping the F-bomb from time to time, though, among other words.

I swear quire alot. It's not because I'm a bad person but instead because swear words have settled into my mostly outstanding vocabulary.

I swear for emphasis, usually. And when generally annoyed.
I've never understood the mindset behind swearing, to me they are just words, no more corrupting and evil than any other words. For me, classing a means of expression as wrong just doesn't make sense. Besides, some swear words have amusing histories that go back thousands of years, and Fuck is actually the only word in the English language that can be used in any context whatsoever, while still making sense.

So yes, I swear a fair bit, and I don't see why we shouldn't.
Cock juggling, syphilitic fuck heads.
