I'm going to say no. Just because they don't sound rhymey.
yeah, words that rhyme sound rhymey but they just don't. granted they end the same way but it just doesn't have the ring to it that other words that actually do rhyme have.

What? No. Fisherman and Fireman do not rhyme. Have you actually tried saying them?

errr yeah obviousley

and besides i pronounce fisherman fishermun and fireman firemun

so they sound like they rhyme
So you pronounce things wrong and claim they rhyme? What's wrong with you?
Dude, pronunciation is not the be-all end-all answer to constructing a rhyme.

By the rules on I noticed from glancing at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhyme, it could, either a syllabic rhyme, an eye rhyme, or an end rhyme(also known as tail rhyme).

So, to answer your question, nothing is wrong with him, except perhaps that he bears the heave burden of truth.

Off-topic:
Why exactly are people being so rude about this?

*sigh*
No they don't rhyme. Because the words have so many syllables, they need more than just the ending to qualify as a legitimate word for word rhyme.

The endings are indeed the same, but the overall sound of the words mean they don't. Sorry.

Of course they rhyme. Not only is the final syllable the same, the first letter is the same, too, making it an alliteration - which technically also counts as rhyming.

People seem to be letting the concept of an near rhyme slip.

Man rhymes with man because of the -an part, same with ban rhymes with man.

Eye - Light
Years - Yours
I believe the final two are examples of chiming rather than rhyming. Could be wrong.

AUGH! No.

There is one syllable in each word that rhymes. -man, and -man. In both words that syllable represents a whole part of a compound word. If you eliminate the compound, you're rhyming man with itself. It's not a near-rhyme, it's not a corresponding terminal sound, it's just the same word repeated.

Trying to pronounce the last thing i wondered whether it's supposed to be followed by the words MUSHROOM MUSHROOMS

Also a question, for all the peopel saying no without further explanation.

Are you saying no cause only the endings rhyme, and not the whole word
or because the endings rhyming are fine, but not if it's the same word
Or because the man and man are pronounced differently in the two words

I'm just currious, cause i don't really havea correct answer myself.

Also, fuck the desk, i wanna see (or more precicely read about) soem throwing of fragile objects

Not even close. Sorry. You spotting a pattern here?

If we were in your favour, you would crowd your mates around this forum. Are you even going to show them this now?
errr yeah otherwise that would make this forum pointless.....the whole point of this forum was to see who was "right" by way of poll.....since the ecapist is the only site with forums that are not jam packed full of retards i came here
That's very honest of you. I know very many who if they were found out to be wrong would pretend to his mates that this poll never happened.
