So guys, I have been finding myself playing Oblivion again. As most of you should know, it is a great game all around, especially for those of you who are fans of RPGs. Anyway, I want to start a new file, but am debating which style to play as. Well, basically, I want to ask you, what types of characters do you enjoy playing as? The light armored bowman? The Heavy armored brute with a hammer? The all around magic guy? The main purpose of this poll is to see your opinions and reasoning in order to influence my future gaming choices. I normally play as a mainly melee fighter with light armor. Preferably blades!

(I apologize there are so many options out there and I can only fit 8 in the poll. Please just choose which one best suits you. And for those who have never played the game, I highly recommend it!)

I love sneaking. I just can't help stealing stuff, so I'm always sneaky, and well, why let the extra damage go to waste?

I love to start off as the agile fighter (I'm thinking that's a speed and strength combo). But the nature of the game makes it so you're a jack of all trades by a certain point. I kind of wish it wasn't like that.

My favorite: Dunmer - Combat - Endurance/Willpower - Mage - Armorer/ Block/ Blade/ Heavy Armor/ Conjuration/ Destruction/ Restoration or Alteration.

I actually understand what you mean by that, and I agree. This is exactly why I said what do you prefer. :p

Summoning and illusion are the two most powerful magic type things (look at my amazing technical language) so if you want an easy ride, go with those.

Axes and other blunt objects are the worst in my opinion but I am bias towards the magic and sneaky side.

Melee feels most natural to me, and you don't need to worry about magicka/ammunition. I usually supplement it with magic though.

None of the above. I play as a tank and use a sword and a shield(Knight Class), and if my eyes aren't deceiving me I can't see that in the poll options.

Sneaky guy, with a heavily enchanted bow and arrows.
A small dagger and some destruction just in case.

Bosmer- Steath - Sneak, Marksman, Destruction, Illusion, Armorer, Restoration, Security
You basically get an assassin type character once your level hits about 10. You just need to get an invisibility spell and you are untouchable.
I would open with a stealth arrow to the face, normally paralyzing them, and finish them with a fireball, using my restoration skill to buff my magicka to ungodly levels, and armourer to keep my gear working.

Normally I would agree with you 100%. And even in Oblivion I am mostly a melee user, but arrows are very cheap/you can pick them up and magic restores quickly.

You eyes are technically not deceiving you, but you should have clicked on the Tank or Restoration option. The reason these aren't separated is because they are often used together. Anyways, as I have mentioned, only 8 poll spaces.

I always payed as a wood elf thief and archer.
I always poisoned my arrows with paralysis and damage effects.

But other than that I play as either a breton or dark elf summoner.
No weapons or a lot of armour.....just a helpless little dark elf girl......bt you piss her off and suddenly with a wave of her hand, you find yourself facing off with greatsword bearing skeletons, storm atronachs or on a particularly bad day She may summong some deadra monsters on you!
